Cyclone Pam article

edit

Hi. I hadn't noticed you'd tagged it under review; I was doing some copyediting on the sources.

I was thinking of not-ready'ing it on the grounds the lede says something is going to happen, instead of describing any event that has already happened, such as somebody saying that was going to happen. --Pi zero (talk) 15:03, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, yeah.....I just tried to 'shift' that a teeny bit onto something that 'did' happen. I'll back off on my review now and you can take action on it. --Bddpaux (talk) 15:06, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I'll take a look and try to do so in a bit; I'm now tackling one of the others. It's always a bit of a scramble, I've found, when a whole bunch of students submit simultaneously, presumably in coordination with something to do with their weekly class schedule; there are generally a bunch of the submissions that have serious problems so they should be not-ready'd promptly. --Pi zero (talk) 15:19, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Just to point out. The preferred way to userspace an article is for an admin to move it, and not leave a redirect behind. Non-admins don't have the option of not leaving behind a redirect; but when an admin moves a page, there's a box, checked by default, for "Leave a redirect behind"; just uncheck it. :-)  --Pi zero (talk) 22:25, 8 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Knowing terms

edit

I read your comments. But how am I supposed to explain hat trick? It is a common term (I believe). And majority of the Europeans and South Americans are aware of Ronaldo. Still, do I need to explain about it?
aGastya  ✉ Dicere Aliquid :) 15:10, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, see, that's kind of the trick: Wikinewns is international, so we try to write for EVERYONE. Not everyone knows the term hat-trick. We also write so that an English-speaking person in Thailand can understand what we're saying; a truck driver in Manila; a school teacher in Canada; a chef in Nepal; know what I'm trying to say?? We have to write for EVERYONE (as best we can). I'd bet a European football fan knows TOTALLY what you're talking about, but I know LOADS OF PEOPLE who aren't European football fans. --Bddpaux (talk) 15:14, 19 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
If not all are football fans, but still, Ronaldo. People knows him. Still, I've made the change. But, people, can, still click the links to know about that particular topic. We had this discussion at WP's main page.

Nigerian suicide bomber article

edit

Hi, I have responded to your review on the collaboration page of the article. Due to the time lapse between now and when the article was written, I don't expect it to be deemed newsworthy now. However, at the time of the review you must have missed that the actual focal event of the story occurred the day before the story was written (or on the day of, if you take time zones into account), not 10 days before as you claimed. Apologies about the late reply. Hb881uow (talk) 12:10, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I responded to this where it was also raised on the article's talk page, but I'll repeat here.
  • There was a misunderstanding, but it looks as if the article was legitimately past freshness at the time of review. The focal event seems to have taken place on the 16th, and the review was on the 20th. Sometimes we have more articles submitted in a short time than we can handle, and that's been a constant state of things for the past couple of weeks or so, with UoW student articles. (I've seen articles lost this way even when there are lots more reviewers; there's a lot of latent demand for what Wikinews supplies, so that however much reviewer labor we can bring to bear on a regular basis, after a while the volume of submission will expand to exceed supply. We do need to improve the efficiency of our operation, so we can do more with the same amount of reviewer labor, and I have some plans I'm pursuing for how we might do that; but even if I succeed, we'll do better, things will pick up, and still I expect some articles will get missed from time to time.)
  • It's clear how the misunderstanding would have happened about being ten days old at the time of review. Our style guide specifies that sources are to be listed from newest to oldest, so that the first one listed is the most recently published source; in this case, though, the articles were in the opposite order, with the oldest first; and the oldest was indeed about ten days before the article was submitted.

It took me a while to research, do the interview, and put this all together. It was quite a coup to get a response back from the interviewee.

It's a nice piece related to freedom of speech and issues of censorship.

Share your experience and feedback as a Wikimedian in this global survey

edit

I'm wondering about establishing news relevance. It seems probably not a COI problem you've been somewhat involved in the show — the up-front disclosure takes a lot of curse off that — but it might have some effect on your perception of the relevance. Something seems wanted in the way of, well, background I guess, to show the reader the relevance in a larger context; otherwise the piece could feel a bit promotional. --Pi zero (talk) 15:26, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I'm trying to address that. Technically, I think anything creative-wise, at least, with a far reaching audience that hits 100 serialized episodes/releases etc. is newsworthy. I'm just trying to make sure I'm making it 'global' enough. In terms of the station itself, I made a bit of 'lunch money' on a show I did there last year [Sergeant Mambo's Apple Tree of Weirdness] but the show [and the meager bit of $] are both long gone by now! --Bddpaux (talk) 15:39, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
It occurs to me the lede, while it mentions the 100th episode part, might be tweaked a bit to acknowledge the audience aspect, since, as you note, that is part of what gives the piece its basic relevance. --Pi zero (talk) 16:23, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

edit

Just a note. I noticed, on the article you'd published, the lede didn't specify the day on which the focal event happened... and I suspect it was, in fact, five days ago (so, not fresh; which is of course an important part of why I'm a stickler, myself, for specifying the day in the lede). Pretty sure the sky isn't going to fall in; thought I'm mention it, though. (Btw, a lot of these students don't have the hang of using-sources-without-copying-from-them; worth keeping an eye on.) Thanks for helping out; as you see, I've been pretty swamped. I'm thinking it'd be good if I take a look at your article tomorrow morning, when I'm fresh. --Pi zero (talk) 23:28, 27 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, guilty as charged.....I think I'm actually to blame for the day thing. I really pushed the envelope in terms of freshness there! --Bddpaux (talk) 13:47, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tips:

  • When starting to write about an event, double-check what and when happened; some mainstream media will be confused about it themselves and not provide links to the report which they are re-reporting, or its publish date.

To your question: Perhaps some guidance

edit

I'm posting here because you asked me what ArbCom could do to help. I think I just got a retaliatory review rejection. I was fully expecting that if any specific reviewers don't want to work with me for any reason that they just wouldn't review my work, and drafts I composed would have a smaller pool of reviewers, making them more likely to age out. That's not great, but what can you do? I was not expecting someone to hit reject just because they're pissed off at me, and I think that's what just happened. The reviewer said, among other things, that the words "black" and "white" are too non-neutral to use in Wikinews' voice (it's an article that ties into the Ferguson riots, in which race featured heavily). This same reviewer has approved articles that used those words in Wikinews' voice before, with no mention of any inherent neutrality problems. I think it's because I corrected a previous reviewer when they thought my grammar was wrong (it wasn't, and to said previous reviewer's credit, they seem to be politely entertaining the sources I showed them on English usage, though I don't think I changed their mind). So my request of ArbCom is this: What should a drafter do when given a review that they reasonably believe was made for reasons other than the suitability of the article? Like you said, we're all volunteers here. What is the customary dispute resolution process? Darkfrog24 (talk) 05:26, 3 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Well, FWIW, I remember the first time when I had to write "black" for a person with darker skin complexion. It was very hard, as for writing in my journal, I could add comments for explaining to myself, but when transferring to on-wiki, I did not say "black", tried to explain it, which became complex, and added a comment, which I would generally not do (as I am generally available on IRC for discussing any issues with the reviewer). The reviewer, replaced that entire explanation and said in the summary that "usage of 'black' was okay in this context." The thing to learn is: is it okay in the context? And just because something was done once does not automatically mean same thing can be repeated again. (We all learn from what happened in the past).
•–• 06:25, 3 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yeeeeeeah, context does matter, but when the reviewer says "The lede doesn't say when the death took place" and it's right there "October 17" and "the lede doesn't say who McKinnies is" and it's right there "the victim is the son of activist Melissa McKinnies" and "hey this isn't attributed" when it says right there "according to a federal report," I start to think maybe the reviewer showed up to reject the article. Darkfrog24 (talk) 06:46, 3 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
If that was the thing bugging you more than the NPOV issue of "black", that is what you should have told Bddpaux to strengthen your case.

I would like you to remove your talk page post on the "small fire" article. It includes name-calling. There's other stuff there, of course, but I picked that to mention because it's not subjective, and it would be enough by itself. I'd like to take your complaints seriously, but I don't feel I can do that if they come in that form. That post puts me in a position in which I feel I have to defend myself, or at least redirect the conversation. I do not mind if you delete this post of mine with this request. How's that for 'creepy'? I will try to do minor editing to improve your pending articles, but I won't review any of your articles or engage in any discussions involving you during that time. Consider yourself ghost'ed by me for the next 90. How 'bout you just report the news for a while? That'd be nice....I'll do a bit of janitorial work for you during that time....but you and I? Hi Bddpaux

Re:

ask yourself, "Would a school teacher in Manila care about this? What about a waiter in Sydney or a young mother in Hong Kong?" The answer should be a quick 'Yes', or you might be wasting your time here

The articles on he main page today are:

I doubt any of those are of interest to the waiter or the mother above

Cheers, Ottawahitech (talk) 02:45, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Ottawahitech: Let's keep football articles aside, because football is the most popular sport, and people in any country do care about their favourite clubs. OR year in review contains tonnes of OR, some of them are from Australia, so satisfies the waiter in Sydney. Uruguayan Language academy news is relevant to people with different language, and how a first-world organisation treats other's traditions, and customs (checks for school teacher in Manila as well as young mother in Hong Kong. Explosion article is again, relevant to the waiter, who might want to reconsider asking the restaurant to check if their cooking area complies with health and safety regulation. WTO's article seems relevant for people in the South East Asia, how their commute might be affected by this decision. Think about it.

@Ottawahitech: The three that I wrote made international news. Indeed, I am not in Spain but it was in my country's news. English football is followed across the world. I don't think the comment is supposed to be taken so literally, I think the spirit of what he is trying to say is make sure people in different countries will care. --IWI (talk) 12:27, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

We do publish local news, the lower bound mentioned in the guidelines being the car-crash test. My understanding of writing for an international audience is that an international reader should be able to understand what the article is about and understand why the story would be of interest to some readers (beyond which it becomes a matter of personal interest or curiosity). --Pi zero (talk) 12:53, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Abandoned articles — Unpublished articles that have not been edited for four days should be marked with {{subst:aband}} and deleted two days later, permitting that no other edits have been made since then. (Per common sense, removing the abandoned article template doesn't count as an edit, unless it is bundled with another change.)" See WN:ABANDON. It had been < three days when you marked it "delete".

Firstly: I appreciate your eagerness [no sarcasm!!]....I do! For a newbie, your output has been in the upper stratosphere and of excellent quality too! I think you RAWK! But: at the end of the day....a wiki is supposed to be about community. Now, there are ALL MANNER of goofballs, etc. who show up here and want to be thought of as a Rockstar within 15 minutes....and that doesn't work. One has to establish their 'street cred', as-it-were. So, the simple answer is: I'm extended a bit of niceness. Do I think that will turn into a publishable article? Absolutely not. But we have time (so-to-speak) to give the contributor a gentle nudge. As Acagastya points out, the rule is 4 days. If my math is right, I think you dropped in the template about 65 hours after first submission, which is a hair too quick. --Bddpaux (talk) 15:08, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Well, there are a number of things you could do....you could use it as the framework for a recent article about an outbreak in some city (as one example). How we will see unregistered users

edit

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Temporary change to article length

Hello. I know you know this but just as a courtesy, this note is to let you know we are implementing a trial from February 1 to April 30 to encourage more articles to be published per the outcome of a current proposal. The minimum requirements for article length will be one paragraph of at least a hundred words. Your free advice

edit

Hi Paul. On your user page you have the following quote: "Within the first 3 sentences of any article you're writing, ask yourself, "Would a school teacher in Manila care about this? What about a waiter in Sydney or a young mother in Hong Kong?" The answer should be a quick 'Yes', or you might be wasting your time here: this is an international news site. Thusly, we serve a large audience. Not too long ago, a reviewer cited this quote as a reason for declining an original article. The article had other problems, but nevertheless, it peaked my interest. You have multiple articles, especially OR, which do not meet this standard. At least, I don't think "Wikinews attends 2021 Texas Haunters Convention" would have strong appeal to a school teacher in Manila, a waiter in Sydney, or a young mother in Hong Kong.
Therefore, I appeal to you to modify or remove those sentences from your user page. I think local news should be encouraged; especially original reporting. What you say as a reviewer, administrator and bureaucrat can be very influential. Cheers, SVTCobra 00:41, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree, and: done. This business of 'Newsworthiness' has ALWAYS been bound up in some opionated fluffery, and maybe it always will be. I was (maybe clumsily) trying to convey that we have a BROAD array of peoples/cultures to whom our stuff should appeal (hopefully). VERY local things can absolutely appeal to many people -- and should always be encouraged here. To put a not-so-fine point on it: Right now, we just need good news being submitted by good reporters. Also: see the disclaimer I added to my page.--Bddpaux (talk) 14:33, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Heavy Water

edit

Hi Paul. You wrote to Heavy Water: I'm fairly certain you may be the very first person (at least in a decade) around here to receive accreditation out-of-order. So, you've been a Reviewer for a bit now, and I just made you an Accredited Reporter. Go forth and do good deeds!
What exactly did you do besides add {{archive top}} to the AR? See the diff. You even left the status as "open". How exactly did you 'make' Heavy Water an accredited reporter? Did you verify their identity and real name and set up an email account on wn-reporters.org as per Wikinews:Accreditation policy?
Being accredited is not a wiki permission and does not show up in user groups or user rights logs. Also, I thought we discussed this notion of 'out of order'. There is no order. Accredited is not part of a hierarchy of user rights. Reviewer → Administrator → Bureaucrat → Checkuser is the only order I know of. Accredited is entirely outside of this system. And, indeed, at least one user has achieved all of those levels within the last decade without ever being accredited. Cheers, SVTCobra 11:13, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Well. Yeah. OK. It'd been a while since I've done any of these actions, so I'm a bit rusty -- most especially on setting up the email. So, to that point: how is the email set up? --Bddpaux (talk) 14:28, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't know, which is why I didn't close the AR earlier. I think only Gryllidia and Acagastya can do it. SVTCobra 16:10, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I left Gryllida a message about email. I have/had an account. Just not sure what my status is around those parts... I need to get that sorted out and set up correctly. I am also working on getting Heavy Water's accreditation "card" set up properly, but knowing the proper wn email address/situation would be very helpful. Can you log in to you wn email account?--Bddpaux (talk) 16:17, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
No. I had one on wikinewsie.org, but not one on wn-reporters.org ... also I am not accredited myself. Cheers, SVTCobra 16:50, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well: maybe we should do something about that...?--Bddpaux (talk) 16:56, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Maybe I should have a wn-reporters account. It would be useful to have access to Scoop. But I don't really want to be accredited. Cheers, SVTCobra 00:47, 3 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

These are still open. It should probably be handled and closed :) I would comment in support based on policy, but due to age, I decided against it. I do see they mentioned the lack of reviewers and I would gladly help out, but I haven't published anything. I see you have a very limited amount of reviewers (as is most of your groups). How can I assist you on this project (besides not writing news articles)? Thanks and edit well! - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 01:48, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

There is no consensus on either request. Last month, an admin closed the +reviewer request, and I persuaded them this was premature. Heavy Water (talk) 02:57, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Heavy Water Doesn't mean an admin can't go and actually close out the nominations and archive them to get them off the board. Thanks and edit well! - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 03:10, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Reviewer requests (like other weighty discussions) aren't rushed. Serious ones have usually stayed open for months in modern times. Heavy Water (talk) 03:19, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Heavy Water I am mostly talking about this one Wikinews:Flagged revisions/Requests for permissions#Removal of Reviewer status hasn't been touched since Sept 2023. I am just trying to help out. Thanks and edit well! - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 03:29, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Recommend blocking anonymous only from 199.212.250.0/24

I recommend blocking anonymous only from all of 199.212.250/24 for at last 1 year. Both en.wt (for 1 year) and en.wp (for 3 years) have blocked the entire 199.212.250.0/24 range, which is allocated to a school in Canada.[1], [2] Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 15:51, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Isn't This Stale

edit

You recently published Citizen journalist, Viktor Pinchuk — gives travel presentation in Sevastapol even though the event happened on April 22. That is 4 weeks ago and seems stale to me. Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 20:51, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

It was/is stale. However: this user submits both here and at Russian WN -- based upon his high quality pictorials, we tend to give him a pinch of breathing room, but I probably won't stretch it (time-wise) this far again.--Bddpaux (talk) 15:22, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just saying, but all these things are kind of bordering on promotion. 18 articles on someone not notable enough to be mentioned anywhere else. 18 articles on a writer Russian Wikinews attends a lot? Including 4 in 4 days. I think if anything we need to crack down on how many of these we have, not give double time for something hardly notable. How is it that something like my Biden article, covered much more in media than this, is given half time before considered stale. I know you said not to strecth it, but we need to some way to avoid 80% of the frontpage being filled up with this. Seriously, this is insane.@Bddpaux Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 15:31, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Never mind, make that quadrule time. Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 15:54, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Original reporting gets significant leeway with freshness. Notability — particularly of a person involved rather than the focal event — as assessed by "anywhere else" is irrelevant to newsworthiness. That said, I've never been really comfortable with the conflict of interest present, but I allowed it because other people much more experienced than me had, repeatedly. I haven't passed any of these articles since December for that reason. It's good that we're having a conversation about it. Heavy Water (talk) 19:51, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I know nothing prohibits it, but I feel we need to. Imagine if something like the New York Times, BBC, or the Guardian has 80% of it's front page covered in a very specific and not that notable author. At a minimum, I think we need to have something that no more than 1 very similar article can be on the front page at once.@Heavy Water. Beside, giving it a month while still considered news, is a bit too much. Ever seen a newspapers frontpage with month old news? Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 22:31, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Heavy Water I've been confused about this for a while too, especially because this article seems to imply Sevastopol is in Russia, which is... not in accord with international recognition. I've never mentioned anything about it because I fervently do not like to start anything. A.S. Thawley (talk) (calendar) 21:42, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Heavy Water @Me Da Wikipedian @Asheiou I'm tired and busy with work, but if memory serves, I recently communicated to Viktor that I/we are largely hitting the STOP BUTTON on most of these. His pictorials are (admittedly) fantastic, and the "hobo tourism" conceit is quite clever -- but the whole spider's nest forms a massive network of COI, Navel gazing and puffery. To give him some credit, he did take (marginal) action recently to (after prompting) re-focus the article on the presentation event itself. I would feel (maybe) more comfortable if he WAS NOT the reporter at RN Wikinews, reporting on an event, where he is giving a talk he gave, covering a trip he took and etc. etc. etc. Get my point? I've (maybe clumsily) tried to draw the line with him. He (and this isn't an insult) tends to try to stack up outside sources (which isn't a crime!) -- but I often can't pull them up and source material has to properly be glued into the story, as well. Am I making sense here? 9 sources does not automatically make a story "better sourced" than one with 2 sources.--Bddpaux (talk) 22:04, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
That sounds great. Asheiou: Our treatment of disputed regions is something I've been wanting us to discuss for a while. I see that he refers to himself as Russian; I've always allowed him to, since he's probably got both Russian and Ukrainian citizenship, and he seems to identify as Russian (also, that's probably his ethnicity). I think we definitely shouldn't allow articles to say "Sevastapol, Russia", however, as this does. Heavy Water (talk) 03:47, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
The issue with disputed regions is that what level of recognition do we require to call a region part of one country or another? I'd, for one, not call Kosovo Serbia, despite the fact that it's very disputed. "Sevastopol, Russia" is just flagrant, though. @Heavy Water A.S. Thawley (talk) (calendar) 13:07, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
My 2 cents:Just say Sevatsopol, Crimea to avoid the issue altogether@Asheiou@Bddpaux@Heavy Water Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 20:41, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, in this situation we can avoid picking a side by just Crimeaing. A.S. Thawley (talk) (calendar) 21:35, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
"Crimeaing" needs to be a word@Asheiou Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 21:36, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I mean, we already have Gatwicking, Crimeaing seems to logically work within the Wikinews jargon. Crimeaing: "removal or rephrasing of content to avoid 'picking a side' in a contentious geopoliticial issue". Amazing. A.S. Thawley (talk) (calendar) 21:39, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, seriously I'm think of creating a page for it though...what would be the verb form? Crimea, to Crimea, something else?@Asheiou Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 21:45, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Help with review

edit

Hi

(I am messaging all reviewers)

Hope you are doing well.

Here are submitted for peer review:

Could you please review? Even a little edit or just one review would help a lot. (I don't require a commitment to review every day from now on.)

Would you like to get notified of new drafts submitted for review? If so, please tell me which topics (or any topic) and where (email, wiki messages, push notification on smart phone, notification in wiki Notifications, or somewhere else).

Would you find a WN:RNA page for reviewers useful, it would be similar to WN:AAA but intended for reviewers to discuss reviewing and related software.

Would you be interested other communications off-wiki to create audio or video contact with other reviewers? I think this online gathering could be an essential part to deduce how to make article authoring and review easier. It could be just 30 minutes a month, and you don't have to participate every time. I would write a meeting minutes note after each session and publish it on-wiki if desired.

Thanks!

Regards, Gryllida (talk) 11:25, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am interested to know what could be done better about the second to last paragraph too, when you have a moment (it is low urgency, it can be a week or two later) please follow up. Many thanks for the review! :-) Gryllida (talk) 02:09, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Could you please advise what are your favourite news topics or a next recent event you found interesting? I'd like to write something together again, if you wouldn't mind and if you're available. Thank you in advance! Gryllida (talk) 01:32, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notifications

edit

Hi Bddpaux

Could you please review something in the next two days or so? The review queue is a bit too long. I appear to be unable to handle it alone.

Do you read wiki notifications? I posted a message at water cooler and @mentioned your nick - do you get such messages or would you prefer that I post on your talk page?

What is the best way to notify you of the updates to the review queue, so that you don't miss it? I can send you talk page messages or emails.

There is a Subscribe button at the top right of the Wikinews:Water cooler/assistance page. If Notifications are readable for you, could you please click it? Then you will be notified of each new added section at that page. (It would help me a lot, as this is the place where I ask for help with my reviewing.)

Thank you! Gryllida (talk) 19:57, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
