Q: How did the idea for the script come to you?
A: "We often see the efforts of filmmakers being put to the test when it comes to creating fantasy or horror based movies. I had always wondered what would happen if their dreamscape became their reality and how they would react. For this film, they're so entwined in what they're doing they can't even tell the difference between real zombies and the fake ones. My reason for asking is to try to understand the background of the situation better, before making a call on admissibility re possible COI. Two passages from our policy pages caught my eye. In the section on OR ethics, there's "If you go to a protest to participate in it, leave your Wikinews Press Card at home!" That applies more strongly with a protest, whose purpose is inherently non-neutral, of course; or if there's a meaningful economic interest; but it doesn't completely vanish in this case, just isn't as big. In the opening of our COI policy, it defines Wikinews COI as "incompatibility, or appearance of impropriety". My point is that appearance matters in these things. As a practical matter, I note there's more than just intent involved; there's also your own unconscious biases that could affect your judgment on what to say and what not to say, which is likely to be much easier to keep out of synthesis than out of OR. I've satisfied myself re verification on this piece. The documentation on some of the points, especially in the last paragraph, was a bit sparse, but I'm not inclined to quibble on this occasion (though notes taken at the time would be nice, in general, and I'd get much more uncomfortable as the amount of detail involved went up; granted, for the current purpose there is a trail of breadcrumbs on the talk page). Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). I get your points here.....so, I can only provide some basic facts. My 'script supervisor' role was quite simple.....I watched the scenes and recorded the time taken per shot. That's about it. I signed up for a pretty minor role....I guess it grew slightly over time, but that's really all I can say. Post-facto, the director/writer chose to name me as a 'producer', but again, I didn't formally sign up for that role at the outset....and I've certainly done minimal 'producing'. Also, if it matters: this is a short film. It'll be submitted to a couple of film festivals and that's about it, really. I can't claim to be free from biases (in this, or many other things for that matter), but I'd have a hard time figuring out what they might be here.
