I am the editor-in-chief of my school magazine, for which I do a lot of original reporting already (most notably a probing interview with the headteacher, in which I made himr eveal some uncomfortable truths).

  • OpposeI can't support anyone that has been blocked over copyright violations within the last month. This being said, I see no reason why you shouldn't try again in a month or so. Accreditation would allow me to supplement my articles with original research more easily, for example by seeking comments from experts on science stories. Also I can easily travel into Manchester with my camera to cover major events there.

Well, there are only four votes here, and even though support is unanimous, that doesn't seem to be a lot to determine the opinion of the community at large. Nonetheless, this is way too far for an AR to be open, i agree. I'll try to get someone to close it and officially accredit you (I would do it myself, but I'm not able to create @wikinewsie email addresses or give out press passes.   • 'Urgent: Request short term accreditation for tommorow to cover action.

  • Areas of interest: Original reporting, particularly photo-wise. Mainly cover protests and grassroots politics.
  • Reason: I often photograph protests etc around London, my interest is only really in OR, it's the most interesting part. I'd like to apply for accreditation to help me with my OR and so I can contribute loads more stuff to WN. I'm particularly applying now because of an action this Thursday (10th Dec) which I’ll cover for WN, for which having accreditation would be a bit of a must.
  • Accomplishments: I often photograph grassroots politics in London, mainly protests and pressure groups. I have previously had images published and used commercially, as well as published in places like Indymedia. Only written once for wikinews, unfortunately soon after that I had some kit damage to my camera and couldn't get it repaired for ages, also had college exams. But the wikinews article I’ve written is here Protesters against police violence surround London's Scotland Yard. I know that isn’t much, but I've only really starting to contribute to wikinews that one occasion and I’ll contribute more in the coming months, starting with the action on the 10th Dec . I haven’t really put all my demo photos online, as ones done for commercial use will stay on my computer and with the client, I won’t put them up anywhere as that would be a breach of contract in some circumstances.

  • Thank You for responding... I totally agree actually. I am contributing in the science and space now and will continue to do so with great respect to the WikiWorld. I reached out to Nicholas Gerda whom was very helpful and informative. However, I do ask if you have any tips about what will accelerate my articles in being complete, or if you see I have neglected to submit a certain way that is making the news become stale, to please email me... or yell really loudly at the monitor so I can hear you. The code use is new to me so ... be gentle ;)

You list yourself as "Technology", have you written or contributed to technology-related stories?     • Yea, I requested interviews with several congressmen and their press secretaries say I need credentials. At the conference I plan to take notes on what people talk about. I am not a photographer but I can always buy a camera or we could use stock photos as a last resort. Admittedly I have not written any technology articles (at least here) due to news worthiness.   • oppose. We have discussed this in Tamil Wikimedia community. The Tamil Wikinews project is in its very early stage. This is too early to consider such request for anyone.   • Weak oppose for now. I can't decide whether I think you should be accredited because I'm not familiar with you or your contributions - as you haven't contributed here. If I understand properly, you want the accreditation for work on other another language edition of Wikinews, but we're not really in position to make a proper assessment of your contributions. Please don't think that this is a personal reflection on you, I'm sure you're a very helpful user at Wikinoticas, but I just don't know enough about you to consider supporting.   • Strong oppose the user doesn't write a good news in es.wikinews. His articles doesn't have a good complexity to be an article and he writes many histories about his town (Tandil, Argentina) and don't write about anothers news in anther places on the Earth. The user doesn't have a "community life" and sometimes have a problem with identificate a news from a Wikipedia's article. Sorry for Ezarate, but a news reporter acredited must be a excelent reporter and not only a good writer of news (perhaps this request, shows him that is a good user but doesn't a news writer). To english community, please sorry for my poor english level, because I'm a basic student of english. On Friday of this week (21 May), the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Tour_of_California will be holding its sixth stage in my home town. My father-in-law is working security at the event, and they are holding a press conference at the start and finish of the stage. I have access to the conference. I know also that the procedure takes longer than two days, and if this request cannot be sped up for special circumstances, please archive it on Friday as the opportunity will have obviously passed. Thank you
