Welcome to my inbox edit

Leave me a note or message here! Yes that is correct, but the article is a summary of well over 100 and more impartial then the last one on Frank LaGrotta written by the New Castle News where they flat out called LaGrotta a liar, and convicted felon, will that is all true. Computex 2008 edit

About conflicts, in fact..

  1. There are two official COMPUTEX websites, but established respectively by different organizer.
  2. Since the TAITRA opened the registration for Media Accreditation, the TCA (Taipei Computer Association) also did at theirs website, too.
  3. They recruited with different companies, TAITRA for foreign participants, but TCA is for Taiwanese and Japanese (with IPPC.biz) participants.

Currently, just some information as I got from the Exhibition Section of TAITRA. Brock contact... 11:34, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your use of rollback tool, and a note on peer review edit

Regarding your use of rollback tool here, and here, I wish you had not used the rollback tool for those edits, but in addition to your talkpage post it would have been better for you to take the time to utilize an edit summary to explain your reverts. Also, nowhere does it state that a {{review}} must take the form of using the {{peer reviewed}} template - the review by Cometstyles (talk · contribs) was sufficient. Cirt (talk) 16:55, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please also see Template_talk:Peer_reviewed#Where_does_it_state_that_use_of_this_template_is_the_required_format_for_a_review.3F. Cirt (talk) 17:17, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Shameless plug edit

This, http://www.kohchangsalakphet.com/index_e.html, is the website of my partner's brother's business/resort on Koh Chang (Elephant Island). When we visited a couple of years ago there were very few western tourists, only saw a couple of backpackers in the island's main town.

The seafront chalets are on stilts over the water, a pier runs out to where they keep nets for fresh fish and for boats to come in, and the restaurant, while covered, is open air. You'd fly into the Trat regional airport, likely hire a car, and it is a short drive to the ferry crossing to the island. The beaches are virtually deserted, and spotlessly clean. The island's interior is nearly jungle, and there are many beautiful waterfalls around the place. Driving into the northern half of the island can be an experience though, some of the roads rise very steeply and you've got to be cautious. In any case, much less touristy that Phuket, you don't get hassled by people selling stuff on the beach and, like a lot of Thailand, you are made very welcome. Oh, and the seafood is fabulous. You simply won't get it any more fresh. You order, they fish it out a net, kill, gut, cook, and serve. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:40, 28 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Regarding lead one edit

Hi TUFKAAP, just wanted to say that i (partially) reverted your edit here. Whereas the photoessay is a "sister" article directly relevant to the in-depth article, and the two complement each other with photos and text, the Limbaugh story is slightly more off-topic and i don't feel it merits inclusion in the "See also" list. (Also, the formatting skews the main page a bit, we usually don't have that many blank spaces on the ledes). Feel free to revert me, though, if you feel particularly strongly about it. Cheers, Tempodivalse [talk] 02:31, 16 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Points to remember

The competition page is here. Remember, you'll need to move from the newcomers to experienced section as the competition progresses.

Everyone who's new to Wikinews remind yourselves of the article guide and style guide. And, use the Enter an article tab in this template to correctly start your competition articles.

Getting Help

Possibly the fastest way to get help is to look for the regulars in the #wikinews IRC channel on Freenode. See this page for more details. Remember, many people will lurk, connected long-term, but not regularly checking for messages. Please be patient when looking for answers to queries, it can be annoying to see someone ask a question but leave before you notice it.

Points distribution for Polish plane crash article edit

Hi, TUFKAAP. I want to tell you that I am unclear about the points distribution concerning the Polish president article I submitted. While the article was initially worth 11 points, it has since been expanded and is now worth 31 points. Since the article was originally worth 11 points and I added text worth 4 points to it today, I propose I get 15 points, you get 12 points as you contributed slightly less text than I did and TDV gets the remaining 4 points for his contribs. Please tell me what you think about this or leave your comments here. Cheers, Pmlineditor discuss 09:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
