@Ceannlann gorm: Unfortunately, this story is already nine days old; so it's no longer a current event. --Pi zero (talk) 21:34, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Ceannlann gorm: @Pi zero: But we could find an angle to follow-up on like reactions to his death or a memorial service or possibly from original interviews. —Justin (koavf)TCM 21:41, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. There are certainly approaches that could be taken. One needs a focal event that has just happened; the death itself is nine days ago, and it's not clear just when the public announcement of the death took place but we know, from the earlier source, that it must have been at least four days ago. So those two events are no longer current. --Pi zero (talk) 21:47, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

He saved his life

I would like to offer you the following story suggestion:

A Son’s Love for his Dying Father

Through fate, I met this young man from Seoul South Korea. His name is Youngbeom Kwon. This past June Yongbeom gave his father the Gift of Life. He father had been in severe pain for several months and was diagnosed with cancer in his liver. He had Hepatitus B for his entire life. Faced with death and only one chance of survival, his only son Youngbeom decided to donate 70% of his liver to his dying father, Syekyung Kwon, age 62. I suggested he come to the United States for the surgery but the family was convinced that Korean surgery is world famous for its living liver transplantation. Yongbeom speaks great English as he was an exchange student at the California State University in Freso in 2009 and interned at Port of Oakland and Baker & McKenzie, NYC in 2010. His story is heartwarming and one that many might ask themselves, would I give up 70% of my liver? Contact information for Yongbeom Kwon

August 9, 2018

The increasing addiction of Battle Royale games, mainly fortnite and PUBG.

August 27, 2018 Description:The recent popularity gainers PUBG(Players Unknown Battlegrounds) and fortnite have become so well known that almost every child knows its name. These 2 games are free-to-play on many platforms and don't require much except for a steady internet connection. These characteristics of these games make them easy to access and play but now, the popularity of these games is going too far.....

Full story:After the recent success of these 2 blockbuster games, it has become a trend to play these games. Since these games are free-to-play on many platforms, thousands of children are able to download these games and enjoy them. Parents don't usually object as the game is age appropriate for almost age groups but the real danger in playing these games is the addiction that they cause.Even though PUBG isn't as addictive as the latter, it has still managed to trap many children in its clutches. Me and my team decided to give fortnite a try and we almost instantly fell for it.Luckily we were wise enough to delete the game before we got trapped in the game's addiction. Many famous online stars such as ninja, Pewdipie and DanTDM have the power to influence the younger generations and they strongly promote these games. Also, these games are equipped with voice chatting features which can be unsafe for children. My message to the parents and guardians out there:Keep your child's gaming activity under a check be careful, the world out there is not a good place.

Hello Togattao.
  • Sorry, was working on something else yesterday. This story being suggested here is complex as the relevance is unclear and additional research would be needed, which may cause delays in the writing and reviewing process; we have only 24 hours left of the freshness window.
  • Like I mentioned previously I am glad that you are suggesting news and it is awesome to see that you are following up.   Perhaps you may wish to check the stages in the reviewing process: the previously suggested tennis story is still in the review queue.
  • Couldn't find anything else that's current about Cristiano Ronaldo off-hand. Please could you spare a few minutes and share another tip or two? Thank you in advance.
Cheers, --Gryllida (chat) 02:10, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bruxet deal.

Meanwhile, the bars and the tea rooms in Parliament have been quietly humming with the sound of plotting and scheming.

For some, about how to take control of Brexit. For others, how to grab the keys to Number Ten.

While no-one can be sure of anything just now, none of the outcomes being discussed by MPs look anything but grim for the prime minister and her plan.

Some MPs are wondering: might a narrow defeat next week mean she could try to squeeze more out of Brussels? She might try, but the signs are the EU's all out of big concessions.

Ministers 'can still win over Brexit rebels' Would she even get the chance to try before she's forced out by her party? Labour's hope of forcing an election seems a little remote.

There's more respect than support for Mrs May among Tories. Some senior Conservatives say, privately, the answer could be to choose a caretaker prime minister to carry on in some fresh direction.

Meanwhile, rival leadership contenders are quietly getting ready to run - even to the point of promising jobs.

One senior Tory told me he'd been offered a senior cabinet post by TWO of them in exchange for his support. And you can bet he's not the only one.

There's still a chance the government pulls out of the big vote and, by so doing, buys a bit more time.

There's another proposal by Labour MP and Brexit select committee chairman, Hilary Benn, to rule out a no-deal Brexit, and rule in a soft version.

That would reunite some Brexiteers and Mrs May and maybe even limit the scale of any defeat.

Yet more speculation, obviously. The prime minister will be mulling her options and her future this weekend. But those options, and maybe her time in office, could be running out.

NASA's OSIRIS-REx Probe Already Discovers Evidence of Water on Astroid

NASA’s Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer OSIRIS-REx has found evidence of water trapped inside clay on the surface of the asteroid Bennu.

In other good news for the mission, the data obtained so far from the OSIRIS-REx Camera Suite (OCAMS) validates the ground-based telescopic observations of Bennu.

—Amy Simon

NASA's first asteroid sample return mission, OSIRIS-REx, reached the asteroid Bennu only a week ago, but it's already learning more about this time capsule from the early solar system.

The spacecraft which departed earth in Mid August was able to begin its mission en route, turning its scientific equipment towards the asteroid as it traveled closer.

The initial observations from the spacecraft’s two spectrometers, the OSIRIS-REx Visible and Infrared Spectrometer (OVIRS) and the OSIRIS-REx Thermal Emission Spectrometer (OTES), have shown that there are molecules in the asteroid that contain oxygen and hydrogen atoms bonded together, known as “hydroxyls.”

NASA scientists' hypothesis that hydroxyl groups are present across the surface of the asteroid and indicate that Bennu’s surface once met with water.

OSIRIS-REx will continue to survey the asteroid by flying by its north pole, equator and south pole, sometimes as close as 4.4 miles away, to determine mass. This will help researchers determine when to put OSIRIS-REx into orbit, as well as understanding its structure and composition.
