All Wikimedia projects have rules. Here are ours. Listed here are the official policies of the project, you may be referred to some of them if your early attempts at writing articles don't follow them. Don't let this discourage you, we all had to start somewhere. The rules and guides laid out here are intended to keep content to high standards and meet certain rules the Wikimedia Foundation applies to all projects. It may seem like a lot to read, but you do not have to go through it all in one sitting, or know them all before you can start contributing. Remember, you should enjoy contributing to the project. Places to go, people to meet Wiki projects work because a sense of community forms around the project. Although writing news is far more individualistic than contributing to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, people often need minor help with things like spelling and copyediting. If a story isn't too old you might be able to expand it, or if it is disputed you may be able to find some more sources and rescue it before it is listed for deletion. There are always discussions going on about how the site could be improved, and your input is of value. Check the links here to see where you can give input to the running of the Wikinews project.

Your effort would be highly appreciated. The issue on "forgotten war victims in Southern Philippines" is actually fresh focused on the Philippine's Law and the international humanitarian law to let readers understand the scope of dispute in southern Philippines.

The law have not changed however it has not been practiced in wars since 2016 because of the two rivals.

Perhaps write an essay or a book at one of the {{sisterprojects}} instead? I.e. at Wikibooks or Wikiversity.

Re 261 eaters down in Former PH 1st lady's 90th birthday

1) I have trouble with this grammar

"Imelda Marcos thru her party organizer has featured her birthday celebration with speeches among guests of honor, singing and her late strongman husband’s cakes bearing structures; that the DOH probe and confirming the triply cautious suspected food poisoning party, which its result would be released in uncertain date. "

2) At the talk page the reviewer said there needs to be an event after Wednesday. The latest date in sources that I can see is July 5, 2019. This satisfied the freshness criteria at that time, but not anymore, this has happened over 3 days ago. :-(

Is there any chance you can find an update about the health of the affected people? Or anything? Please?

Hi, I saw you renamed your article. I have a few suggestions on improving it a bit more. "PH" is somewhat unclear what its referring to, so writing out Philippines/Filipino would be better. Generally on Wikinews, numbers less than 20 are spelled out in words, so "First Lady" instead of "1st Lady". Headlines should also be in present tense instead of the past tense, so "hospitalizes" rather than "hospitalized". Glad to help! The other problem in publishing your article is that Wikinews only publishes news that's considered fresh, which is usally defined as published about an event in the last 2–3 days. The most recent reports are from July 4th which is now nearly a week ago. However though, if new information has come to light within a week of the event occuring (say, for example, a food-poisoned victim spoke out, or a condition worsed and was reported, or Ms. Marcos released a statement on the mass food poisoning).

It's very important to remember though that on Wikinews not every story succeeds, but new contributions are always welcome. Sometimes the best course of action is to acknowledge the publication deadline was missed, and to just move on. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 06:24, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

I am hoping there will be an update when the reason is known. Perhaps the website of the local police and the local hospital, and their social networks, might be the best places to monitor. Gryllida (talk) 06:30, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

@Dehgel: I should clarify that I hope you get your article published. Like Gryllida suggest, keeping an eye on updates to this story can lead to a published article. :) Just remember you might need to change the focus a bit.

I'll give an example: since the health department says a Staphylococcus species caused the illness, then if the health department revealed that it was because a food worker was themself sick with a Staphylococcus infection, then you could write about that. The focus would change somewhat to focus on the source of the illness, so for example, "Chef with Staphylococcus infection caused mass food poisoning says Phillipine health department". Hi Dehgel, I took a look at the article. Unfortunately the problem is still there, that it's not recent enough. On Wikinews, we report news from within the last three days. I have sympathy for frustration at an interesting story that didn't make it to publication, and some aspects of the article have continued to improve, but, as noted, without some new focal event the article is a no-go. As another Wikinewsie once put it, "don't marry the article"; that is, don't over-commit to a single article. Not every article makes the grade; when an article doesn't make it, one needs to be willing to let go and move on to something else. --Pi zero (talk) 14:04, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

Pi zero, I lost my interest to improve that article after digging all sources but still no exist, so I already moved on. But as of now, if you could help directly pointing the solution to the problem on the article each paragraph, maybe I can make it. Thanks for the guides. --Dehgel

Hi Gryllida, I often and expertise writing code using PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS/CSS3, XML, and jQuery for websites as traditional for this time in our region; Microsoft's VB.ET, C#, SQL, Visual C++ for software. But when I use Linux/Ubuntu, I am comfortable with machine languages Python, C++, and Java. I'm interested in Android App but not often used it since it is not trending here in our region.
