Wikinews:Arbitration Committee/2019 election/Nominations and voting

It is my pleasure to nominate Pi zero, who is a current member of ArbCom and has agreed to stand for re-election. To paraphrase a local snake-charmer, Pi is without doubt "the glue that keeps Wikinews together." --Green Giant (talk) 07:17, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm honored to accept the nomination. --Pi zero (talk) 14:07, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not familiar with your work on Wikinews and I don't think we've interacted. Can you tell us anything about your overall philosophy toward the site? Darkfrog24 (talk) 15:19, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think Wikinews is a good place for journalism students or others to come and learn how to do journalism and collaboration. --RockerballAustralia contribs 00:21, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am fairly inactive on Wikinews. I pop by to check for spam and such every now and then, but I rarely have time for meaningful contributions beyond that. I do check my email though, so if a message is left on my talk page I see it right away;). — Gopher65talk 02:06, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm nominating myself (I think that's OK). I have been an Admin since 2007. --SVTCobra 19:18, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, self-nomination is historically unremarkable. (And you got it in just under the wire.) --Pi zero (talk) 20:19, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent! I consider myself quite unremarkable as well. --SVTCobra 20:32, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
