Review of revision 4708035 [Not ready]

Revision 4708035 of this article has been reviewed by JJLiu112 (talk · contribs) and found not ready at 11:21, 6 February 2023 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: {{flag}} Flagging just so I'm 100% on this, but our 100 word requirement for articles (and no, captions shouldn't count) does apply to OR articles. And anyway, it would help non-cricket fans/those with auditory impairments if at least extracts from the audio interview were written up, and even brief context provided (e.g., what is Tier 1? 'Final'...so, they're the champions?) Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |

Interview transcript
editHere is the transcript of the interview with time codes.
00:00:00:14 - 00:00:01:13 Patrick Gillett How was that one for you guys?
00:00:03:12 - 00:00:05:06 Liz McPherson As in the win or the whole game itself?
00:00:06:10 - 00:00:06:24 Patrick Gillett Start with the game.
00:00:08:10 - 00:00:26:16 Liz McPherson It was hot. It was tough. We knew coming in that we had to win or we were hoping for a Caboolture win over Coolum. So with that was in the back of our minds. But the one thing our captain said before we came out was, you know, we know what we have to do, but we're also here to have fun.
00:00:26:16 - 00:00:37:18 Liz McPherson So, yes, don't play the occasion. Play the game. And the girls went out there and done absolutely amazing job from all the fielders and then obviously the batsmen as well. Batswomen.
00:00:38:01 - 00:00:45:15 Patrick Gillett Sorry and happy to get in my calculations. You made fun of us as we.
00:00:45:15 - 00:01:08:18 Liz McPherson Yeah, super stoked. So, gosh, We had a, not a rough start to the season like with a lot of the girls in this team are quite new to playing this level of cricket. We finally found our groove. It's been great. I think we've knocked off the top three over the past few weeks. So yes, super excited to make the finals.
00:01:08:18 - 00:01:25:09 Liz McPherson And you know, we've seen some young girls come through. We’ve got little Peyton who’s, you know, a ripper of a spinner. So to make finals in some of our first year of playing to one is just yeah, we're super excited for it.
00:01:26:22 - 00:01:30:02 Patrick Gillett Any special prep for the semi next week or just keep doing what’s been working?
00:01:31:04 - 00:01:53:05 Liz McPherson Yeah. I think we're not going to change much. I think we just do what we normally do, try and get to training and yeah, just keep working on our own game and, and a team game but not focus too much on who the team will be playing and we'll just continue hopefully our streak of knocking off those top teams.
00:01:54:03 - 00:01:57:15 Patrick Gillett There's no preference as to who is being played next week?
00:01:57:15 - 00:02:22:08 Liz McPherson No. I think we just enjoy the sport. I know it's a cliche thing to say, but, you know, if we're playing the top team, then excellent. And if we're playing, whoever came second, even better, all the teams have been, you know, competitive, but also a really great, I guess, camaraderie between all the squads whenever we do play.
00:02:22:08 - 00:02:24:11 Patrick Gillett So who stood out for you today?
00:02:25:12 - 00:02:58:24 Liz McPherson We had Ange Thomas as a bowler. She got two the twenty odd and Peyton as well. So Peyton, I already mentioned she got two for I think about twenty odd off I think four [or] five overs. And then obviously our batters came in. They need[ed] to do some work. And we had came out captain, who is a superstar, and then Bridget as well, and Bridget's only been playing tier one for three weeks now and she got out there and she smashed I think about forty six.
00:02:58:24 - 00:03:09:19 Liz McPherson So we were hoping that we could get her a 50. But we, you know, we got the win. We can't for next week.
00:03:09:19 - 00:03:10:08 Patrick Gillett Anything else?
00:03:11:17 - 00:03:34:13 Liz McPherson It's a great competition. And, you know, today we had the women's health round. So, you know, might have seen some ladies with pink on their face or in the hair out there. So, you know, we weren't just playing cricket today. We're also raising awareness for women's health and the club here at Glasshouse trying to raise money and donate to Bloom Hill.
00:03:34:13 - 00:03:45:04 Liz McPherson So and, you know, you know, you've got cricket, but then you've got the important stuff that we're trying to do.
Just a note on something that was said early in the interview – if Glasshouse lost they needed Caboolture to also lose. This can be verified by going to the ladder source and changing the view drop down to Points Per Round. RockerballAustralia contribs 00:11, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for posting the story and the interview script. The points below are open for discussion; I'm not saying they're required for publishing, just my personal preference how the article could be improved:
- Would it be possible to include this transcript into the article, as I understand this content is freely licensed and is eligible for including it into article?
- Also, I would suggest to somehow format the article to make the interview clip stand out more clearly. In the past around a half of people to whom I showed the tabbed gallery in person did not tab through it unless instructed.
- Also, I would suggest adding image captions for images 4, 5, 6, 7 if this is OK.
- Many thanks.
- Regards, Gryllida (talk) 01:42, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- @RockerballAustralia: I've started review (I have the flag now), but the article does not mention the when in the lead (or at all for that matter). If you could add that, I will begin verification. Heavy Water (talk) 00:16, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- @RockerballAustralia: Just to make sure, "They defeated Hinterland by six wickets on Sunday at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club" is OR, right? While I can find the points each side earned in the sources, I can't find the wicket numbers there. Heavy Water (talk) 03:23, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- The venue and scores for the Glasshouse v Hinterland game are in the second source at the bottom of the article.
- The batting scorecards read from left to right batter and how out, runs, balls faced, minutes batted, fours score, and sixes scored. At the bottom are listed Extras (essentially penalty runs), and the team total (read as wickets lost / runs scored). In the bowling card it goes bowler, overs bowled, maidens bowled (overs where no runs are conceded), wickets taken, runs conceded, no balls, and wides.
- That should pretty much explain it.The venue and scores for the Glasshouse v Hinterland game are in the second source at the bottom of the article.

- I should have been clearer, the wicket counts were the only thing I could not verify. But this is clear now; thanks for sticking with me. Everything looks good to publish, but I'm going to hold off a couple hours (until, at the latest, 13:30 UTC) because Gryllida and I agreed earlier to discuss my first few reviews. Sorry for the inconvenience. Heavy Water (talk) 03:59, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- All good. It's going through these discussions that make sure I know what I'm talking about. RockerballAustralia contribs 04:06, 10 February 2023 (UTC)

Notes for Gryllida
editI first performed a copyright check; Earwig found a 1.0% similarity, unsurprisingly. Before beginning a verifiability check, I quickly read through the text portion of the article, and found the when was not mentioned. As you can see above, I pinged RockerballAustralia and asked them to address this and proceeded to the next review. Heavy Water (talk) 00:34, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- In the future, I would probably issue a not-ready on style grounds in such an incident, but I wanted to be cautious here. Heavy Water (talk) 00:36, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Gryllida: I also made this change for spacing and sentence structure and moved the page because of a typo "Australia'a" instead of "Australia's". But all checks are complete, and I'm ready to publish. Heavy Water (talk) 04:03, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Looks good to me.
- The spaces in sources are because in a monospace font, they make the fields' values align, like a plain text table. I think this is by default (for example, if you make a new article by typing its title from the Main Page, then in the example template these spaces are present.). Just letting you know about where these spaces come from and why. It is OK to remove these spaces before publishing.
- Again, all the edits that you have made look good and I agree with you that the article is ready for publishing.
- Hope it helps. Regards, Gryllida (talk) 05:42, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- OK, I'll publish now. Heavy Water (talk) 13:35, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
