Glasshouse in to Tier 1 women's cricket final on Australia's Sunshine Coast

Glasshouse are set for a spot in the finals in the top division of women's cricket on Australia's Sunshine Coast, after they defeated Hinterland Sunday. Glasshouse won by six wickets in the game, played at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club.

"We had a, not a rough start to the season," Glasshouse wicket keeper Liz McPherson said. "A lot of the girls in this team are quite new to playing this level of cricket. We finally found our groove. It's been great. I think we've knocked off the top three over the past few weeks. So yes, super excited to to make the finals."

Glasshouse are now scheduled to play Coolum in one semi final while Hinterland travel to Caloundra in the other. The winners of the semis would then be scheduled to playoff in the Grand Final.

The Hinterland side consists of players from Palmwoods, Yandina, and Nambour. They are now scheduled to play Caloundra at Caloundra.

Hinterland's Sharon Guest finished with figures of one wicket for fifteen runs off three and a half overs.

Batting second Glasshouse scored 135 runs for the loss of four wickets. They had earlier restricted Hinterland to 134 for the loss of 5 wickets off Hinterland's allotted 30 overs.
