- Name: N Johns
- Location: Dallas, Texas
- Areas of interest: Politics and conflicts, science and technology, environment, obituaries, disasters and accidents, and crime and law.
- Reason: I was already planning to apply for accreditation today, in the interest of appearing more legitimate and thereby increasing my chances of receiving replies from potential interview subjects. SVTCobra has now nominated me for reviewership so that provides one more reason: I believe reviewers should have access to scoop.
- Accomplishments: My published articles are listed at Category:Heavy Water (Wikinewsie). As SVTCobra mentioned at the reviewership request, many, many more articles of mine have gone stale because no reviewer reviewed them. I have two OR articles, "A commonsense proposal": Wikinews interviews Michelle Tilley, Campaign Director for Yes on 820 and "Crimea is a 'red line' for Putin": Dr. Jeremy Morris discusses Ukraine war developments with Wikinews. As for other projects, I have been on Wikipedia since April 2020 and am extended-confirmed and a rollbacker.

Questions and comments
edit- This is for Accredited Reporter only at this moment. I support at this juncture, but: We need a little time before giving Reviewer bit.--Bddpaux (talk) 16:58, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- It's been a week, which is when Step IV says the request should be closed. --Heavy Water (talk) 17:07, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- In recent years, I think we have let them linger longer due to our low traffic. I think the last successful candidate was JJLiu and it took over two months. You do have quite a few votes given it has only been a week. Cheers, SVTCobra 23:30, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Although the one immediately preceding that, for LivelyRatification, took just under four days. --Heavy Water (talk) 00:49, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- Support A person with an albeit, brief history here (overall), but still a sharp, articulate writer.--Bddpaux (talk) 22:02, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Support - Heavy Water has created plenty of good articles now, and has been very helpful in copy editing, and expalining his copy edits, before article reviewing. Johnson524 (talk) 18:34, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- I hear you. While I am an admin of many years, I have never closed an accreditation request and I don't know how to set up the e-mail (well, I know I can't) or to set up the so-called Cards. I will ping @Gryllida, Acagastya:. Cheers, SVTCobra 21:51, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @SVTCobra can could try this week, given I can ping @Heavy Water on IRC or email. Sort of preoccupied with office and outreach, so let me know what time works for you, in UTC. •–• 09:06, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- I presume you need @Heavy Water: and not me. Once you two have sorted out the particulars over IRC or email, just post that it is done here or on my talk page, and I will close this out as successful. Cheers, SVTCobra 13:29, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @Acagastya: If you do mean me, from about 01:30 UTC to 04:00 UTC I can be steadily available and on IRC, but email can get a quick response anytime between 13:00 UTC and 04:00. Thanks, Heavy Water (talk) 14:00, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- For the last part, I would require IRC, so let me try tonight. Share me your IRC nick, @Heavy Water. It is on Libera.Chat. Let me know which channel I might find you on. •–• 11:41, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @Acagastya: My nick is HWater on Libera. I can be on Wikinews and Wikinews-en. I assume this is your night? Heavy Water (talk) 12:24, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- Support - extremely hard-working editor who has reviewed many articles, and is very familiar with Wikinews processes. --Ixfd64 (talk) 16:47, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, since xe's been made a Reviewer, I suppose it's only appropriate to make a decision here. LOL! Closing as successful.--Bddpaux (talk) 20:04, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
