American Home edit

You'll have to add a source for the info that AHM lost licences. I checked the ones currently listed in the article and I don't see it. --SVTCobra 00:03, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh I also removed the quip about the impending bankruptcy - it's not a strech to believe it - but we need a source in the article that says the same thing. --SVTCobra 00:05, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
No problem. Forgot to add it. Should be done now. —Meekel 11:28, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I registered today because i noticed that Portal:Football was unused. My major decision to sign up was so I could improve this. I've seen your Carling Cup article and have Published it. Can you help me with the rest of the football portal? Reply with comments on my talk page! Celticfan383 22:26, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nokia article edit

Hey, no problem. Try Google News and searching there in future; they turn up just about every internet news source in the world - it's how I tracked down the second source. Otherwise, keep up the good work! Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 22:04, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Champs Lge Article edit

I beat you to it. UEFA Champions League 2007/08: Group Stage Draw. Could we possibly merge the two together? Celticfan383 17:02, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think the tables actually look better. But I think my title for it is better. Kingjeff 17:10, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yea Meekel and I agreed to moving his table into my article because the title is better. I'm not trying to cause an argument just stating a point, backed up by someone. Celticfan383 17:12, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Accreditation granted edit

Hi Meekel,

your Request for Accreditation seems to have past, hooray! Why don't you go ahead and fill out the template {{Accredited reporter}} and add it to your user page, I will add it to WN:CV. Have you contacted User:Messedrocker yet to provide you with a badge?

Once again, congratulations!

--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 18:28, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Meekel,

congrats on your accreditation. You might have noticed my request for accreditation at en.wikinews (and the fact that I have been accredited previously on de.wikinews when the German accreditation process was still operational, to allow for Original Reporting).

Currently the votes are balanced and I'd ask you to lend a voice in support to allow for access to press conferences, starting with the upcoming Frankfurt International BookFair in October where all topics are handled and interview access to dignitaries and interesting authors of many countries is possible.

From the moment of my updated user page, which predated my request, I've started being more active than before on both en. and de.wikinews, preparing my own articles and contributing to those of others, which I intend to continue no matter what, but which, as I hope, also lends credibility to my request.

Thanks for your support, --Gwyndon 20:04, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Userpage Sharing Project edit

You've been added as a member of the Userpage Sharing Project. You were added by me because I needed people to test the template with. If you wish to be removed, please contact me here. If not, please add {{User:Thunderhead/sharing}} to the top of your userpage (or wherever you want to stick it. Thanks, Thunderhead - (talk - email - contributions) 22:44, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Accreditation revocation edit

Do you still want to go through with having accreditation removed? As Adambro has commented you've done work since the request and perhaps gotten over witnessing the drama in IRC.

Since you filed the request we've got two new press release feeds added to the scoop address. The Wikileaks group, and the EFF. We now also have a very useful bot in IRC called NewsWire. This monitors a variety of news sites' RSS and atom feeds and posts links to the latest stories. I believe this gets us stuff faster than Google news which has a slight delay to allow the site originating the story to be first. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Accreditation Expiration edit

Greetings, I wanted to let you know that our policy regarding accreditation has recently changed slightly. Specifically we've enacted an automatic expiration of accreditation after 2 years. You can very easily "re-up" your accreditation should you choose to, but at this point in time you're on the Inactive list. As such your accreditation will automatically be revoked on March 15th unless you request otherwise. Currently, posting to the following thread will keep your accreditation. At a later date, all Accredited reporters will be put in for that "re-up", at which time you'll be notified. Thank you, and should you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 20:47, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

privs edit

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!

Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.

Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.
