Re: "patently false and offensive to their client": could you delete the posting please, or add a {{correction}} template? --InfantGorilla (talk) 09:15, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Are you referring to my comment, or the actual content in the Wikinews article in question? If you mean the latter, it's been done already (a while back). Daniel (talk) 09:18, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
The actual content: I did not find the take down in your contribution log or recent deletion logs, so I assumed we still had some work to do. Was the take down oversighted? --InfantGorilla (talk) 10:28, 5 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flagged Revisions

edit

Here yo wrote you did, but obviously you did not. ;-) --Matthiasb (talk) 19:58, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

"11:52, 4 February 2009 Daniel (Talk | contribs | block) changed group membership for User:Matthiasb from (none) to Editors ‎ (Per request at Wikinews:Flagged revisions/Requests for permissions.)"? Daniel (talk) 21:59, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for asking, but the change hadn't appeared on the global account list yet. Thanks. --Matthiasb (talk) 19:40, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

A penny for your thoughts

edit

Okay, not really, but I am requesting your participation in the following Water Cooler Discussion: OR and Broadcast report. The discussion involves the need for specific policy concerning how Original Reporting relates to information recieved from a broadcast report of an event. This can include both news-style reports and non-news reports, such as a sporting event. Thanks and again, please share your thoughts on this so we can get as many people involved as possible, especially since this relates to an important topic such as OR. —Calebrw (talk) 05:18, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedians to the Games

edit

Hi. :) As you're an Australian contributor, I thought you might be interested in Wikimedians to the Games, which is an opportunity to cover the Paralympic Games as a member of the press. As you've experience writing Wikinews articles, this should give you a leg up. :) LauraHale (talk) 08:45, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!

Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.

Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
Point 4 of the Privilege expiry policy provides for fast-tracking reacquisition of privileges. We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.

Wikinews Writing contest 2013 is here. :) Please sign up to participate?

edit

We've created the Wikinews:Writing contest 2013, which will start on April 1 and end on June 1. It is modeled on the successful 2010 contest. It would be a really great time for you, as an inactive Wikinews accredited reporter, to renew your credentials by doing some original reporting or conducting interviews. People should be around to interview to prevent a backlog, and several reviewers have access to scoop to make it easier to review any original reporting you do. If you are interested in signing up, please do so on Wikinews:Writing contest 2013/entrants. There is at least one prize on offer for the winner along with the opportunity to earn some barn stars as a way of thanking you for your participation. :D --LauraHale (talk) 10:25, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Tireless Contribution

edit

With all due motivation and enthusiasm, I have been trying to develop Wikinews. I regret to say this but review's are discouraging me at any go. I require your guidance and experience but why do you seem to be so arrogant. After 3 days, having received no comment I have put two of my articles under publish Cricket World Cup: Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 105 runs, Demolition of Hindu temples in the US , wrote on the wall ' Get Out ' condemnation around. At least cite a reason for their shortfall, don't remain arrogant. --Abhinav619 (talk) 02:13, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
