Story process

I saw Thunderhead answered you on my talk page, but when you start on a story you'd have the {{develop}} tag on it, when you're done you can change the tag to {{ready}} and wait for someone to look over it. If that doesn't happen in a reasonable amount of time you change it to {{publish}} and the story will appear on the front page.

For the leads on the front page, go to the Newsroom (see links down left). There you will see the leads repeated with a link to edit and update them. Please when doing that read the instructions carefully and preview before you save.

Now, your other question... Boilerplate is an expression to describe a standardised piece of text, for example the manufacturer's label that goes on a boiler. For example, hello is one of the boilerplate messages we use on Wikinews to welcome people. --Brian McNeil / ^talk 08:27, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
