Copyvio

Rather than continue the conversation by edit summary, best to take it to a talk page. The copyvio template does not include a "submit for review" button. If they did rewrite it, they wouldn’t be able to click a button to submit it. They could of course just add the review template but we should make it as easy as we can for them to write and submit properly. When I have time, I’m going to modify the copyvio template to include a review button. That would solve this problem. [₂₄Cr][talk] 13:48, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Question

What is with the Wikibreak and all the associated templates and redirects? Has a need sprung up for these things? Is it too much trouble to write on one's user page what a break is about? Just curious, --SVTCobra 09:51, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

I am putting together a set of templates related to Wikibreak so that we can put them in our user or talk pages when we are in breaks. As it is my first time creating and editing templates, I had to move some of it to different names. Pardon?

I don't understand the requests you published on Tesla Model S receives bad reviews in mandatory TÜV inspection. "Edit for style" and "Refocus on a news event". How am I supposed to change the style and in what way is that not a news event? I can give you a long list of articles mentioning this today in the newspapers.

I have added a "who, what, where, when, why and how" introduction:

@Laniakeaner, That's alright. When I was copyediting the article, the first paragraph sounded a bit odd to me, so I added 'edit for style'. As the article was short at the moment when I was copyediting, the focus was required to be on Tesla so I added 'refocus on an event'. I hope it is clear now.

Spacings

Hey, I noticed that you changed one-space-between-sentences to two over on the elephant article: [1] I have no problem with this whatsoever, but it suggests to me that you might not know that they're rendered the exact same way. Check this out. I'm putting two spaces after this sentence in the wikicode. And there's only one after this sentence. See how they both look exactly the same in the read screen? Now I'm going to put three. Change one space to two or two to one if you decide that it's worth your time and energy, but it makes no difference to the reader. I know I know. It's just so much fun to create new accounts and edit people's userpages haha. I'm just here to have a good time. I want people to say "wtf?" when they look through my edit history. That's alright to have some fun sometimes, but not by vandalizing someone's user page. In Wikinews, we are here for some serious journalism. I hope that you will start contributing here by making constructive edits. If you want to start a new article, search for a news that covers a global audience, create a new page and start contributing, once done, a reviewer will peer-review it and get it published. Don't forget to check the Newsroom before starting an article to make sure that your topic is not covered.
