editNote diacritics. Spanish politician elected Prime Minister of Spain in 2004, 2008; has announced he will not run again in 2012. Note he is Mr Zapatero at second mention, prefering the matronym rather than the patronym Rodríguez.

editThis is a regional English spelling issue. In general, the United States uses -ze while all other English regions use -se, with two noteworthy exceptions: capsize and synthesize use -ze. Use the standard in use where the news event occurs.
