It is also a bit problematic that the two sources are "live feeds" so to speak. They seem to be posting new information every few minutes. --SVTCobra 15:11, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
@SVTCobra, you can probably review it now. 2006nishan178713t@lk 16:32, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Review of revision 4673591 [Passed]

Revision 4673591 of this article has been reviewed by SVTCobra (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 22:38, 12 April 2022 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: The article as published is somewhat shorter than submitted. I had to remove several things that are not in the sources. I do not blame the authors of the article as the sources were feverishly updating their articles in the hours after the attack. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

Number of injured people (outdated)
editAbout At least sixteen people were injured in the incident...: this seems outdated now, [1].
I think it's sometimes better to wait a few days before publishing a news event like this, until the "dust has settled a little". Unfortunately your "freshness" policy regarding publication which still applies here (to my great regret, I must say honestly) makes this very difficult. - Wikinews articles are archived, 'frozen in time'. They reflect the situation as we knew it at the time. It may be outdated now...but that's why we have articles e.g. At least seven mountaineers die while climbing K2 (subsequently Death toll rises to eleven in K2 mountain avalanche). - Actually, the number "29" was already known at the time of publication from one source, but only one. At the time (and, yes, the sources themselves have changed since), 10 were hit by gunfire, 6 more were known to have been injured in the mayhem (as in physical injuries from trampling, etc.). And additional people were receiving treatment for panic attacks and smoke inhalation which seemed to adequately explain why one source said 29. And if you can't report on a mass shooting for days, how can we be considered a news site? We'd become a "recent history" site. South African floods kill at least 300 people has seen the death toll approach 400. Should we not have published? How long do we wait to publish stories about the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine? Until the conflict is over and the last shot has been fired? Things in the world are constantly changing and we cannot just sit and wait to see if something changes. It actually pained me that I had to reject publishing this while it was still breaking news. Cheers, --SVTCobra 23:39, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
