Talk:Chinese Foreign Minister visits India amid recent standoff in Ladakh
I urge you, @2006nishan178713:, not to rely so heavily upon press releases for the majority of an article, as has been seen in https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Japanese_PM_Kishida_visits_India,_discusses_business_partnership. It’s a matter of substantial journalism—my comments from the above: “ This is getting approved because it's factually correct and not paraphrasing, and includes some info from other sources—but do recognise we are not here to parrot the government line. This can be avoided by incorporating some contextual details […] All of this is what gives a news story value over simply reading government releases.“ JJLiu112 (talk) 23:25, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Revision 4670534 of this article has been reviewed by SVTCobra (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 23:50, 26 March 2022 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: Overall, I feel this article is a little heavy on logistics and topics while light on what was actually said by the parties. Next, I need to point out that it not appropriate to quote the prose of a source by simply putting it in single quotes. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

@JJLiu112, there's not much info about what the leaders actually spoke about. As said, this meeting was done in secrecy and it was revealed to the public through this media briefing from the Indian side and all the quotes rely on this primarily. 2006nishan178713t@lk 04:03, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- @2006nishan178713: Do not write articles from sources which you do not include. It doesn't matter if they are primary or not. You must list everything that you used when writing a synthesis article. --SVTCobra 04:24, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- @SVTCobra, No, I didn't use the media briefing. Only the attached Reuters and CNBC sources were used in the synthesis of the article. 2006nishan178713t@lk 04:35, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- Well, indeed I was able to verify the article from those. --SVTCobra 04:40, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- I meant that all the sources available on the internet are primarily based on this media briefing. 2006nishan178713t@lk 04:41, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
