Review of revision 978978 [Passed]

edit
  • OR notes: I went to 3 towns near Pichilemu (well, not too near), Lolol, Paredones and Bucalemu. Many of the photos are from that places, or La Cruz Hill, place from where I have been reporting. --MisterWiki (talk) 00:40, 18 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

FA? seriously?

edit

If this is the best WN can get, I am disappointed. There are numerous grammatical errors in the photo descriptions. The photos do not describe as much as they should. For example: In the photo of the "broken" bridge, I can't see any evidence of damage. To think that this passed 7-0 (or whatever the number was) is very disappointing. Since I can't edit the page, I think that this page should be fixed or removed as a FA. Griffinofwales (talk) 21:35, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Grammar can be fixed. AFAIK this article was given FA because of the WN:OR. --Diego Grez let's talk 21:38, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

List of things to be fixed (per req.):

  • Photo 6: "On-scene militaries on a truck, in Lolol, after the March earthquake." On-scene militaries > Soldiers
  • Photo 10: "Destroyed cabanas Mirador by the tsunami in Pichilemu, and also by a kiosk/container." The first part of the sentence doesn't make sense
  • Photo 11: "Cars driving to La Cruz Hill in Pichilemu, some hours after the disaster" some > a few?
  • Photo 16: "Another destroyed house, some meters behind the Lolol church." some > a few?
  • Photo 17: "Pichilemu costanera, the day of the earthquake and tsunami." costanera > highway? Costanera does not have an article on esWP (besides a dab page linking to highways), eswikt, enWP, or enwikt.
  • Photo 18: "The most of the balaustrades around the Ross Park, in Pichilemu, were destroyed after the 2010 Pichilemu earthquake." The most > Most, the Ross Park > Ross Park
  • Photo 21: "It is broken at the half and is a serious danger to motorists." at the half > in half?
  • Photo 22: "In this picture, a house located in front of the beach was later thrown in the half of the roadway." in the half of > into the
  • Photo 33: "Fire in a plastic factory, in Ruta 5 Norte." plastic > plastics
  • Photo 38: "Zones affected by the February earthquake." The February earthquake affected a much larger area than that. Not sure on a new description, as I don't know what the image describes.
  • Photo 40: "USGS shake map of the February earthquake." shake > intensity?

If you have any question, please ask. Griffinofwales (talk) 22:44, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

all done apart from the last 2. 38 does show the zones affected as bordered by the orange sectors and 40 is actually called a shake map in the image. --MarkTalk to me 22:57, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think the orange lines are borders. You also missed the last part of photo 18. Griffinofwales (talk) 23:16, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
