WN Reporters email

I have reached out to 2 people here. At the moment, our reporters email situation is a bit up in the air. I will post an update here as soon as I know something. This needs to be resolved. Bddpaux (talk) 17:07, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Who, if anyone, is checking SCOOP these days?--Bddpaux (talk) 17:48, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think JJLiu112 may have access. Other than that, I can't think of anyone who is reasonably active. SVTCobra 19:20, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t, sorry. -Madeleine 47.189.246.193 (talk) 00:47, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone and everyone please read this I am working on a new setup (maybe more like a 'situation', really) to give us a new set-up in terms of WN email for reporters. At this point, I am just going to pay for a web mail service (via NameCheap)... nothing too crazy. I have a simple domain name in mind, that will incorporate 'Wikinews' into it's name. I am willing to pay for the domain plus 2 email boxes..... anyone wish to comment, provide input/ideas....do so here, please. At this point, it will probably just be a 'Scoop' box and an 'Administrator' box...... nothing more. Again: comments? Thoughts? Suggestions? Please speak up now. If anyone wants to pony up some $$, we can do more/better.--Bddpaux (talk) 14:53, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well: upon closer inspection... wn-reporters may be live. I just need an email password re-set or something. --Bddpaux (talk) 15:01, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Acagastaya has sort or re-emerged. Still trying to get righteous on email. We have to get that system squared away here.--Bddpaux (talk) 21:14, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We are off to clumsy fits and starts but this situation might get resolved soon.--Bddpaux (talk) 16:52, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just a last request or proposal, would it be possible to update the Template:Social bookmarks with this version? Asked42 (talk) 22:42, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should have a discussion about inclusion on that bar, but setting that aside, why did you replace the Snoo logo for Reddit with the wordmark? Is it for a trademark reason? —Justin (koavf)TCM 00:33, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did, the logo was fair-use and thus intentionally low-resolution, so I thought the wordmark looked better. Heavy Water (talk) 01:18, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think the logo may actually be freely licensed. I was able to find a version of it in the old Reddit repository, [1] which is under a free license. [2] I don't see anything in the license that says logos are excluded. --Ixfd64 (talk) 15:19, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Time to change the blue "t" to a black-and-white "x"? —Justin (koavf)TCM 05:44, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
