Message contains duplicates

edit

Top banner says "Flagged discussions: 18 Accreditation requests: 1 Flagged revs requests: 1 Accreditation requests: 1 FA candidates: 1 " seems to me like there is duplicate entries in it for Accreditation requests. I clicked 'Edit' and was presented with this

https://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Votings&action=edit

which does not have the duplicates. It is odd.. Gryllida (talk) 00:49, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Gryllida: If one removes the accreditation requests item from the list, the problem is solved...but then there's no way to update the AR count, which needs to be done manually. Heavy Water (talk) 19:05, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. My question is not that the count is 1 or 0; my question is why does it say 'Accreditation requests: 1' string twice in the message. Gryllida (talk) 22:33, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Gryllida: Yes, that's what I thought. When "Accreditation requests: 1  " is removed from the code, preview shows that it is no longer duplicated. The problem is that "accreditation requests" is not listed in the code then, so we can't replace "1" with "0" or "2" depending on how many requests are open.
