Audio Wikinews

Yeah, we need to let this be well known by having an administrator add an infobox on the main page (it could include Wikinews Vdeo and Print, too). NGerda 03:53, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

Print Edition on Commons?

It is hosted on my server for two reasons, the first is I wanted to be able to use fair use,(non-issue with the new fair use policy), the second reason is that I wanted it to be downloadable in poth PDF and SXW. I wanted to ensure that it can be downloaded in a free easily editable format, since in is created in OO.org SXW is the logical choice. However Commons does not support SXW, if wikinews does enable SXW support then I can start uploading it to Wikinews. --Cspurrier 15:56, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

Audio Wikinews 'Music'

An invitation...

I'm attempting to start up a new edition of Wikinews, one with a simpler user contributions system at m:Wikinews/Start a new edition#Open English. The goals of this project would be to simplify the process of submitting articles such that anyone with no knowledge of the Mediawiki software or the Wikimedia projects culture can easily understand and submit an article, and immediately see it on the main page developing articles section.

If you would be interested in supporting this project I would be pleased if you would sign up at the Meta page.

Template: Audio

Template:Audio has a different purpose than Template:AW. Audio is meant as a near-EXACT reading of a specific article. AW is meant to refer readers to an AW story which features the same topic, but is not an exact reading of the the text. -- Davodd | Talk 23:31, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

Welcome message

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been working over on wikipedia for a while now and one of my projects there was News sources on wikipedia. I came over here (wikinews) to put in some links to this resource. I decided against creating a clone of the resource on wikinews as it would create twice the maintenance work. I think I'll probably constrain my work here to promoting NPOV through the way resources are organised.
