Wikinews is a bit messed up
editI tried to add a suggestion to the talk page of a new article but was blocked by a spam filter again, saying it matched a rule of "cs-spam". I was trying to add the following:
- I suggest turning the focus to the oppressed rather than the oppressor. This is quite a common bias, e.g. women being described as appendages of men such as "Wife of …". For example, the article should be called "Women's rights further restricted by Taliban". It would show Wikinews is not biased against the women.
- The same thing happened to me yesterday (see User talk:2A02:C7C:1018:6E00:2001:C941:A9AA:EA12). @SVTCobra: This is not a false positive. Is there something in Wikinews that does not like comments about article improvement? 2A02:C7C:1018:6E00:E146:DFB4:3D82:8781 (talk) 09:27, 31 December 2021 (UTC)}}
Yes, I already unblocked before you even posted request. I am not sure what the filter is picking up. --SVTCobra 09:32, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- The only thing I can think of when I look at your two incident reports is your unusual indentation which creates some whitespace which might trigger the filter. Anyway, I went ahead and posted your suggestion on your behalf. I am not not one of the technical wizards who programmed the code for the Abuse Filter.
