Comments by reviewer: On a quick preliminary check, I found a number of passages too close to the sources. For Wikinews, you need to adopt a writing method that does not involve copying and then modifying a source passage; although the information comes from the sources, the words must be entirely your own. There is some advice on this at WN:PILLARS#own, and discussion at WN:Plagiarism. This does not follow news style. There should be a short lede followed by two or more paragraphs in an inverted pyramid. The total text should be at least three or so sentences longer (more than 50% longer). One of the functions of the lede is to show that the story is newsworthy, part of which is showing what its significance is; but I don't see anything in this article about what record was set, or even saying that a record was set, although the headline indicates that a record was set. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). (Cllr is an abbreviation for Councillor afaict, and would warrant spelling out on first instance.)
