Talk:Dog's throat cut in Cairns, Australia
Failed review
editThis isn't ready for review yet, as both the cited sources come from the same wire service (AAP).
As AAP's source seems to be entirely a statement or press release by the RSPCA, I don't know if there will be a genuinely independent second source for a synthesis article; in which case I suggest that Wikinews should choose not to run this story.

Review of revision 1060449 [Passed]
edit
Revision 1060449 of this article has been reviewed by InfantGorilla (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 14:18, 15 July 2010 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I appreciate how responsive the author was to my previous review and comments as the story developed. This has taken so long that it is borderline newsworthy, although the interview with the vet was only published at cairns.com.au today. I hope that my subsequent edits are acceptable, and don't compromise my independence as a reviewer. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

Law enforcement officers
editAustralian readers will be aware that RSPCA Inspectors have law enforcement powers. I added that as background for those of us who don't know that. My source is http://www.dpi.qld.gov.au/4790_8741.htm ( a summary of the Queensland Animal Care and Protection Act 2001 ). --InfantGorilla (talk) 14:56, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
