Talk:Arkansas becomes first US state to criminalise treatment for transgender minority

edit@JJLiu112: where does "they need to get to be 18 before they make these decisions" come from?

- Reuters say the house voted 71-24, but this says 72-25. Why is their count off by one on each side?
•–• 17:07, 9 April 2021 (UTC)- AP also reports 75-24. I think Reuters may have reported it incorrectly.
•–• 17:09, 9 April 2021 (UTC)- Courtesy ping@Acagastya: Hm. Odd... (re 1st point) in the AP article, it reads "'They need to get to be 18 before they make those decisions,' Republican Rep. Robin Lundstrum said." --JJLiu112 (talk) 17:23, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

emailed Robin Lundstrum for the vote count. Re the quote -- did she say that to AP, or did she release an official statement? AP says "those" -- is that a typo? Or what?
•–• 17:25, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Err...I don't work for the AP and I've no way to confirm. --JJLiu112 (talk) 17:30, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- (I meant, did you make that typo? Or did you get it from somewhere else?
•–• 17:33, 9 April 2021 (UTC))- Oh, that's a typo on my end. I'm sorry, I wrote this quite late at night. --JJLiu112 (talk) 17:37, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Title
editShouldn't the title be "Arkansas becomes first US state to criminalise treatment for transgender minors"?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aknell4 (talk • contribs)
- see below. --JJLiu112 (talk) 01:22, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Both minors and minority are okay in this context, and while renaming the page, I thought: they mean the same thing, right? As far as inclusitivity is concerned, no. Not quite to the point. Note, the way you say it, JJ, it can be interpreted as minority INTERSECTION transgender, xor, minority UNION transgender. I intended for all minorities regardless they are transgender or not, since it applies to all under-18, but it would be inaccurate to say it applies to all transgenders.
