Spelling of the bill's name edit

While the author can of course use their personal preferences for spelling, to me it seems a proper noun's spelling should not be altered simply because it is inconsistent with the rest of the article. Thus, the Defense of Marriage Act should use the "s" spelling in its actual name, right? Heavy Water (talk) 04:58, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I understand the reasoning now. While I wouldn't have done that myself, I think it is fine. Heavy Water (talk) 05:04, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's one letter. We can always do it without breaking the archive. Cheers, SVTCobra 05:15, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I believe I intended to quote Cumming directly, but removed the quote and forgot to make it 'defense'. I'll change it now. JJLiu112 (talk) 16:45, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I note, however, that Sky, BBC, The Guardian all spelt it 'Defence'. JJLiu112 (talk) 16:45, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
