Talk:2012 Report on Gender Equality and Development says US women have room for progress

I have chosen to look at some of this from a country perspective because most of the reporting and blogging commentary I have seen focuses on overall global trends, rather than looking deeply at the report from a nationalistic perspective to see what it says overall about women. This is why I have submitted two articles on this topic. (Plus, this report 426 pages long. There is a huge, huge amount of material here. It is also an important document that will be used by key decision makers. Thus writing about it is very, very important.) This one focuses more on Internet and politicians and mortality.

Comments are inline. I have tried not to draw conclusions and state only the results. Some of this involves comparing things. Had issues with organizing.
