- Exclamation marks signify unpatrolled edits. Editors can mark edits as patrolled when they review them, to save work for others. See Wikipedia's village pump for more details.

Add logs edit

Idea edit
Perhaps we should add the following to RC:
'''Current Number of Users: {{NUMBEROFUSERS}}''' ({{NUMBEROFACTIVEUSERS}} edited in the last month)
Also, Simple English Wikipedia has a rather nice way of doing things with the RC header: they've created WP:Recentchanges, and had this page simply have {{Wikipedia:Recentchanges}}, allowing anyone to edit the page (although we've sort of done that already with {{votings}}. — μ 21:53, November 18 2010 (UTC)

As we don't seem to care about the fact that {{NUMBINCAT}} is marked 'expensive', perhaps using {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Published}} instead of {{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} might be a more accurate figure. — μ 17:36, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- Why do you say we don't care? I don't believe we're doing anything expensive here now. I used {{NUMBERINGROUP:Editor}}, and neither mw:Help:Magic words nor mw:Expensiveness says that's expensive.
- I'm not sure there's any great harm in introducing one expensive call here; but it's obviously not completely without cost, and the question is whether it's worth it to display 21,941 rather than 21,975. --Pi zero (talk) 18:18, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

- A single expensive parser function probably doesn't matter that much (expensive is a relative term, i doubt its something we need to worry about ). As an aside, I just checked {{PAGESINCATEGORY:Published}} and it is accurate (PAGESINCAT isn't always accurate for the big cats. Its off by quite a bit for some larger cats on 'pedia). rows of votings edit
Because our list of tasks available to be addressed, handled through template {{votings}}, has gotten rather long, it's become easy to not notice things on the list when one comes by. Hoping to improve that, I've arranged to split the display into three sublists: production (for various stages of articles not yet published), community (for general discussions/tasks other than article production), admin (for requesting, or carrying out, tasks that require an admin). --Pi zero (talk) 14:17, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

- Sure. I was worried it'd be too easily overlooked because it was so deeply indented (on my laptop screen); but adding prepared articles to it helped with that a little. (I'm thinking in the long run we'd have a pre-review process for prepared articles, and that row would get even longer.) --Pi zero (talk) 20:53, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
