This article is incomplete and a little misleading. Horan is quoted here and was used in advertising by the ABC in which it suggested that Mackillop was excommunicated for "exposing a pedophile", but Horan has said explicitly stated that this was a false accusation. The subsequent media coverage casting doubt on the ABC advertising needs to be linked here.
