editWhen will we ever learn to get out? It's destroying our economy, needlessly killing way too many lives, and was started on a faulty purpose! A no-brainer to me. w:User:Ian Lee 01:23, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
If pulling out somehow magically stops this stuff, and doesn't allow the current fragile government to be taken over by these suicidal/homicidal maniacs, then sure. Your plan will work great. (24.98.235.224 17:20, 16 April 2008 (UTC)), with every once of sarcasm
- The violence will 'magically' when the US pull out. Think about it -
- No violence before invasion - this means the violence started as result of invasion
- Insurgents say they are violent because of invasion - therefore they have no reason to be violent once 'we' (we as in some tyrannic ruler like Bush claiming that he represents the opinion of the general public) pull out of Iraq --A101 - (talk) 17:31, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- No violence before the invasion?!?! I guess gassing the Kurds is not violent. --SVTCobra 18:05, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- You also seem to be forgetting the mass graves that have been uncovered where Saddam's security forces buried dissenters. That's not violence. --SVTCobra 18:09, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- OK, significantly lees violence --A101 - (talk) 18:12, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, the death of a few hundred people a year is terrible but the death of a few hundred people a day in much worse. I have my suspicions about these mass graves, I think they might jst be something invented by US securiy forces to justify the illegal war --A101 - (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- If they were going to "invent" that why didn't they just invent the WMDs? --SVTCobra 18:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Because the UN inspectors went and checked f
ror WMD, only the US 'checked' for the mass graves.--A101 - (talk) 18:37, 16 April 2008 (UTC)- You are not even making sense.--SVTCobra 13:56, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't the the violence will go away when we leave, no. But nor will any progress occur while we remain. So it's best to leave.
I'd say the best move is to partition the country. The violence died down after the various ethnic groups killed everyone who wasn't them but remained in their region. But then the violence restarted after people decided it was safe to return home. A partition could make the least violent situation permanent. Of course the partition might develop into another war between the new states, but even that beats the current situation.
Just get the f*ck out already. Nyarlathotep - (talk) 23:28, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
this has just gotten so silly...
editThe U.N. is an honest organization, and Saddam Hussein was a great leader who wouldn't harm so much as a hair on the head of those who wouldn't deserve it. (QUINTIX - (talk) 00:31, 17 April 2008 (UTC)), and the holocaust never happened, the allies made it up
O.k, I didn't find direct "non-U.S." source, 'cause I rather not spend much time on such silliness. If someone can find a better non-U.S. source that would be great.
