Category talk:Chili Finger Incident

I don't know if this was necesary, seeing as how all these articles are in the Wendy's category aswell. Also, I'm proposing a new way of bundling these articles. See Wikinews:Water cooler/technical. -- Redge (Talk) 18:01, 16 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Venue edit

Assuming Ayala is extradited to San Jose, California, I'll update this page with information about the trial venue. The case may be tried in the federal United States District court on Park and Alamaden, if the crime crossed state lines, or the trial may be held over at the downtown San Jose Superior court on 191 N. First Street if the crime is deemed to have taken place entirely in San Jose.

One complication is that Ayala's trial for the unrelated crime of a fraudulent property sale may take place first. — DV 01:32, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Article in category? edit

Why is there an article in the category space? --SVTCobra 14:12, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's a good question. It seems the text is all at Chili Finger Incident. Could we just blank this page, replace the content with {{topic cat}}? It means the category is sorted in Category:North America, and other cats it shouldn't be in. I'd also suggest renaming the category to something else, like Category:Wendy's chili finger lawsuit or something. (Jeez, this story is eons old now, I remember this being such a scandalous thing on the TV news and even more so when it turned out to be a hoax). —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 09:29, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Addendum: There's already a Category:Wendy's, surely a specific category for the finger thing isn't necessary. I kinda doubt though we'll have many more articles about a fast food joint anyway. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 09:32, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well, it only took ten years, but yes, I think this should be deleted. I don't see how we could could turn it into an article which belongs in the archive. It's existence as a category is almost irrelevant. --SVTCobra 10:02, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Keeping this in its current state is especially egregious as it was a hoax and a a fraud (See: Anna Ayala). --SVTCobra 10:11, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well this person seems quite something. I imagine we'd need to DR that category; it's not needed and is masquarading as an article. Fwiw, discussion about what to do with it came up once. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 10:18, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

In closing the DR, I put a correction on the near-clone mainspace article Chili Finger Incident and replaced the content here with a call to {{topic cat}}. --Pi zero (talk) 14:04, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
