Wikinews talk:Global permissions
Deleted contributions
editHow would we know whether a global sysop accessed such information? Last time I checked there is no log for this. --+Deprifry+ 17:44, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Good question, I think I'll raise it on foundation-l. --Brian McNeil / talk 18:37, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Meta discussion
editWith the potential implementation of a global sysop right, there is currently a discussion surrounding each wiki's stance and their ability to decide what actions global sysop can and can not take on that specific wiki. I encourage all who are interested to participate here. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 21:03, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Outdated
editGlobal sysops can not use any of their rights here, so the policy should be modified to reflect that fact. Global rollbackers are able to rollback as always, but not all global sysops are automatically global rollbackers (though they can be on request). Ajraddatz (talk) 19:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Updates
edit- Global sysop have no special access on this wiki. They have same access as any other non-administrators.
- There are global rollbackers, who are authorized to use rollback permission on all wikis.
Clarifying these two things will be enough to make the policy up to date. — revi☏ 16:08, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I've tried to address these by moving the section on rollback up one level, so it's a sibling rather than a child of the section on global sysops. --Pi zero (talk) 16:28, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Also simplified the section on global sysops, trimming material that appeared to be inapplicable. --Pi zero (talk) 16:40, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Great, seems up to date now. — revi☏ 17:01, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
