What about creating a nominee-list? When a review session begins, the reviewers could ping these nominees on IRC, then the two could work in tandem on an article. Timetables will rarely match, but there would be a more visible path towards the reviewer bit. Intentions could be clearly marked by self-nomination and would not be cloudy after a request gets closed. (Experienced users could share how they avoid timeouts on IRC due to inactivity.) - Xbspiro (talk) 05:13, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

That seems like it could work. --LivelyRatification (talk) 05:18, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, this sounds like a good idea. The only difficulty might arise with access to notes on the reporters wiki. Otherwise, a list on a subpage of WN:FRRFP would be a way of identifying potential reviewers. Feel free to create such a subpage - if not, I’ll create it whenever I’m free.
