User:Jcart1534 is making great strides in archiving old articles. Late at night, this user trudges through news-stories and protects them and caringly preserves them for posterity. Wikinews article hits front page of Digg.com while undergoing Deletion request edit

The article "Church of Scientology warns Wikileaks over documents" on Wikinews hit the front page of Digg.com at 07:39 UTC (currently still at the front page with 641 Diggs) while in the midst of an ongoing deletion request at Wikinews:Deletion requests. In discussion at Wikinews:Water cooler/miscellaneous, it is believed that this is only the third time that an article from Wikinews has hit the front page of Digg.com, and the first time ever that an article from Wikinews has hit the front page of Digg.com, while also undergoing a Deletion request discussion.
