"Walk into our Newsroom" link goes straight to purging the article
At the top of the page, there's a banner (for me, at least) that says "Want to know how Wikinews works? Walk into our Newsroom!". Thing is, the link goes straight to https://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Wikinews:Newsroom&action=purge, so it asks me if I want to purge the article, rather than actually viewing the article. - It should actually purge the article and show it to you. It used to do that. Unfortunately, the devs made a technical decision that didn't take into account the actual users, to not do a purge without asking first, probably on the theory that purging is more expensive so let's make it harder to do.
I don't altogether agree with the sentiment of that message anyway. It's enthusiastic and positive, which is good, but I'm not convinced one can actually learn how Wikinews works by looking at the newsroom. Haven't decided on how to present things instead, though. --Pi zero (talk) 14:16, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
