Wikinews:Meetup/California

I, Eloquence, will be in California (Mountain View, Santa Clara County) from Saturday, July 30 until Tuesday, August 2. I'll have a full day of free time on Sunday, July 31, 2005. Perhaps we can organize a meetup with Wikinewsies from the area?

UPDATE: It turns out that my passport is valid everywhere in the world except in the USA and Costa Rica. I'll have to get a special machine-readable one. I don't know if I can still change my booking at all.--Eloquence 05:09, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE 2: OK, got the right type of passport now. Will update this page if the trip does still happen.--Eloquence 23:02, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested meeting points

edit
  • I'll be staying at Hotel Avante, 860 El Camino Real, Mountain View -- anything less than an hour away from there would be good.--Eloquence 00:58, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • This sounds great guys, but unfortunately I live over 400 miles away from the proposed meetup. Be sure to tell us how it went, and if any of you travel to Southern California, be sure to let me know! Best of luck to you, NGerda 03:34, July 18, 2005 (UTC)
