Welcome

U.S.A. GTA SYSTEM, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --SVTCobra 23:57, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion

edit

I suggest that you read WN:SG and develop your articles with sources, etc. Your "one-line stories" are not something we can use. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:13, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK, "not something we can use" may be at bit strong, but it helps if there is at least a one source to go along with the story. Unfortunately, we do not have enough editors and many stories fall by the wayside as incomplete or otherwise before they can be published. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Shorts would be a great idea. Click this link: http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Wikinews_Shorts:_April_29,_2008&action=edit&preload=Template:New_Wikinews_Shorts to start a new day of shorts. Each should have two sources still. I gotta go. I will check in on how you did tomorrow. Cheers and good luck, --SVTCobra 00:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
