There are always things to do on Wikinews:
- Existing articles need expanding and checking for spelling and mistakes
- The front page lead articles often need updating
- Developing stories need finishing and publishing

- Audio Wikinews could always use more contributors
- And of course, stories need writing!

thank you for contributing to Wikinews. i noticed that this article is written in the form of an encyclopaedia article. it needs to be rewritten as a news report before publishing. –Doldrums(talk) 11:07, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- hi, Wikinews articles do not normally use footnote citations. we simply list all the sources used at the bottom of the article, in a section titled Sources. you can see the usage in other published articles. The article can't be published before it has been improved: do not simply publish the article, it will be reverted quickly by our team, and it is considered disruptive behaviour. - I'll do what I can in the time I have for the article. It's an ongoing story, so it may be changing as the days progress. The New Yorker may or may not be running a feature article soon.
