Several others wrote stories based on television sources. The Wikinews Reports blog activity was mostly related to some of these stories. You can ask any of the blog authors if you want to help out on the blog.
In the last few months activity on Wikinews has started to increase again, and discussion has restarted on the embargoed wiki. Anonymous101 (talk) 11:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Discussion about flagged revisions is ongoing and in many places. This could be the biggest change to the Wikinews method since we abandoned the original article review system
Brian proposes a new contest, and challenges everyone to get involved, donate something, or join!
Try testing CSpurrier's new feed thingy. this may become the main wikinews feed at some point.
Zach's new tool: Per category rss feed. Do a hard refresh, goto a category and click on the rss icon in your browser. (Now linked from most portals and categories via templates)
You can now contribute to discussion about the new community draft of the Wikimedia language policy which prevented the start of a Simple English Wikinews.
About the Wikinews Bulletin
The Wikinews Bulletin is a free internal newsletter for members of the Wikinews community. The newsletter is "staffed" by several editors, who produce the (more or less) fortnightly publication. Don't hesitate to join our team, or leave us a tip. The publication has produced nine issues.

Thanks! Feel free to add content whenever you like. I suggest you create a subsection for it first then edit that to avoid edit conflicts. The idea is that we will cover as many events as possible and then publish the article once today's events have finished.Anonymous101talk 09:16, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi Matt,
I tried to expand the ticker to my wiki ([1]). To reach this, I copied the part of common.js, common.css, ticker.js and the js for the stylesheet. I also made a source for the ticker like on your page but somehow it doesn't work. Do you have any idea why this could be? Hsp (talk) 17:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!
Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.
Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
Point 4 of the Privilege expiry policy provides for fast-tracking reacquisition of privileges. We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.
