We can't tell who you are if you aren't logged in. Since the article is OR, it matters rather a lot that we be able to tell who's editing it. More generally, Wikinews functions through individuals accumulating reputation on the project, and you can't accumulate any reputation by work you do here if we can't tell it was you because you weren't logged in.
