as the doctors of the scottish government said that al-Megrahi (lockerbie bomber) was to be released because he had less than 3 months to live and he was still alive more than 18 months latter in libya might suggest at least two things. one: the most charitable of you will recognise certain failings amongst scottish doctors, that is if there was not a hidden agenda. if there was a hidden agenda, you will also recognise, but for different reasons, failings amongst scottish doctors. two: post-operative care, indeed any care must be looked at holistically. in my humble opinion, there have been certain failings in british infrastructures (political, communicative, a mendacious press, corruption etc.) that have resulted not only the release of al-Megrahi but the alienation of those best suited to perform post-operative care.
