Good article

I hadn't heard about this, despite reading through many MSM news sites on a daily basis. Maybe I just missed this story, or maybe it wasn't extensively covered. Either way, thanks for the article! I'm curious as to how this is going to turn out. I've read in the past that the Church of Scientology goes far, far out of its way to recruit high ranking members of law enforcement. I wonder if any Scientology "agents" in the LA Sheriff's Office nudged these charges along?

Thanks very much for your kind comments about the article! :) As for your last query, do a Google search for: "Lee Baca" and "Scientology". Let me know what you think of the research found, from those results. ;)

Very possible. I note that we don't yet seem to know the details of the case against him; if we're looking at a case where the stuff was mailed back unrecorded (whatever version of signed-for mail the USPS uses) then it could boil down to his word versus the cult's.
