Can't believe it
Fragment of a discussion from Comments:Japanese tsunami impacts California coastal town
That's weird. You know we had an earthquake and a tsunami last year? Everything is back to normality, here in my town and everywhere. Soooo! Isn't the United States a "developed country"?
Most definately. However, the reconstruction of everything takes a while. Where I lived we had two devastating floods in 2001 and 2002, most of the people moved away, and we are still demolishing homes from it. Do you remember Hurricane Katrina in 2005? They are still rebuilding homes, and some still live in there emergency trailers. The United States, in my opinion, is so large that it does take a while for the area affected to receive money to rebuild. With prices increasing, it makes it harder.
