A limited hang out
The Epstein scandal highlighted the existence of many powerful men who enjoyed sex with under age girls. Epstein "death" alone would not stifle curiosity or restore faith in the forces of law and order. A limited hang out like this, even with much of the information withheld, might go some way to distracting public scrutiny.
