What was wrong with the orginal Windows 7 article? edit

What was wrong with the article I published in the first place? You guys completely changed it. ~andimahony

I notice that SVTCobra updated it to emphasize developments that had happened on Monday. I think his changes make it an even better article. --InfantGorilla (talk)
Your focus was on the initial release, andimahony. That was kind of {{stale}}, so I changed the focus to the change in download limits. Sorry if you feel I violated the integrity of your first draft. --SVTCobra 00:25, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please review "Israel bans two Arab political parties" edit

Please conduct a peer review on Wikinews Shorts: January 13, 2009#Israel bans two Arab political parties. I won't flag it without a peer review since I have heavily edited it myself and it is a controversial topic. --InfantGorilla (talk) 11:36, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

You overwrote my changes ... and now I have to go to work. --SVTCobra 11:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry. MediaWiki didn't do its usual trick of warning me of an edit conflict, or I did not notice. It really wasn't intentional, and now I can't see what changes you wanted (and never will since you are going to work.) When you get back could you post a tip or two so I can avoid it happening again. --InfantGorilla (talk) 11:44, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
You probably didn't get the 'edit conflict' warning because I was editing a section and you were editing the whole article. I don't know how it can be avoided. Anyway, I have made my tidying edits now. --SVTCobra 14:45, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Categories edit

please don't merge all the categories for shorts at the bottom of the page --InfantGorilla (talk) 11:05, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

why not? SVTCobra (talk) 11:36, 13 January 2009
it makes it very tedious to break out the categories for an article you have expanded into a stand alone article. --InfantGorilla (talk) 11:41, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Where should the cats be then? following each short? --SVTCobra 16:02, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes - that seems to work very well. Actually it happens automatically when you click the add a new one link at the top of the page (the new story appears below any existing categories.) --InfantGorilla (talk) 16:55, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
