Talk:Two unconscious drug-overdosed men discovered outside University of Canberra residence hall
Journalist notes
editI live in the residence halls where this happened. The name is "New Ressies", which is verifiable here.
The fire alarms went off this morning at approximately 3:20am. I know as I woke up because of them and bitched about it on skype. They stayed on for at least 5 minutes before turning off. There was no announcement and no smell of anything off. There were no sounds of sirens. The alarm went off again briefly for a second around 7am. It was one beep and more distant sounding than from where I lived. There is a scheduled alarm testing for tomorrow, Friday. I can confirm this by sending it to scoop.
Calvary Hospital is nearby. It is about a 5 minute bus ride.
I went out at about 10:51am local time (according to IRC time stamps) and did not see them. I returned around 12:19pm and they were still there.--LauraHale (talk) 07:01, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
- The CLV press release e-mailed to scoop, along with the fire alarm notifications. --LauraHale (talk) 07:07, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
- Randomly on the newsworthiness, the incident was mentioned on the local news. I heard it before I got the e-mail from my university. --LauraHale (talk) 07:44, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
