Someone else will have to review this, now

The later material, that I wasn't able to verify before, turned out to be too close to its source — which was quickly evident once the source was provided (a copy of what NASA had posted earlier but then changed). There were also some inaccuracies that had been introduced, but simply fixing them would only have left the too-close-ness intact (and made it slightly worse). I extensively rearranged and modified the later two paragraphs, and the result IMHO reads well. However I'm no longer uninvolved enough to peer-review it. --Pi zero (talk) 03:33, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Text written by NASA is in the public domain. That means that as far as copyright is concerned, press releases can be posted with very little re-writing (as long as they are attributed.) However, if you needed to modify it for neutrality, style or accuracy, that is a different matter. Did you? --InfantGorilla (talk) 13:46, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I undid the changes that seemed to me to be over the line into self-review. --Pi zero (talk) 15:14, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
