Talk:Pixar Studios animator Bud Luckey, designer of Toy Story's Woody, dies aged 83

Title edit

@Pi zero: I noticed you changed the title, but I would like to advise you that Bud Luckey's work with Pixar was in designing the characters which the studio then computer animated. Luckey did sometimes get credited as being part of the animation "team", but his own animation work was outside of Pixar, using old-time cartoon animation. Good point. --Pi zero (talk) 22:29, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Other concerns have also been raised... --Pi zero (talk) 22:53, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Why is Andy Luckey's Facebook post being treated as an external link and not a source? It should be the exact same as a Twitter post being used as a source. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:30, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Because that was not used as a source.

That begs the question, why is it included at all, then? --SVTCobra 01:11, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
In reviewing it, I figured this was being presented as an external link of possible interest to the reader, which is my understanding of what the external links section is for. It hadn't struck me as particularly inappropriate to justify objecting to its inclusion (though the SG does say such sections are rarely used). --Pi zero (talk) 03:49, 28 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
