Talk:Obama succeeds Bush as 44th president of the United States
I am a Filipino, but Obama is our Living Light
editI CREATED or rather anticipated to DEVELOP this article. Please help in publishing it. Cheers on Inauguration day.--Florentino Floro (talk) 10:28, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
In the Philippines
editThe Inauguration is live on TV at 1030 p.m. Tuesday to 2:00 a.m. Wednesday (Philippines time). Hence, I just developed this, and you may want to continue improving after the oath-taking for review. Cheers.--Florentino Floro (talk) 14:08, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Free at last!: I have a Dream: Obama-King,Jr.
editComments:Obama succeeds Bush as 44th president of the United States. This is the first time, I made a comment. It is long since I listened to King, Jr.'s full speech last night in CNN cable.
- I had shared my very long speech and thoughts on the OBAMA miracle of lights on my birthday last Nov. 5[1] (Wire Forums requested me to visit the site). God bless America.--Florentino Floro (talk) 07:41, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Comments by reviewer: W00t. Glad my bet I placed way back when was wrong. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 18:13, 20 January 2009 (UTC) The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

Times
editJust a note: since the parade and other events are (as of 4:42 PM EST when I write this) running something like half an hour behind schedule, it may be premature to list the times of future events - such as when he left the White house for the inaugural balls. Also, shouldn't times be given in the US format? And some of the facts are wrong - it needs expert attention. 67.234.70.214 21:46, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- This has been addressed. Please see if it is satisfactory. --SVTCobra 01:44, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Stumbling in oath
editThe duplicate article about the inauguration made a small note about stumbling while reciting the oath. I don't consider it that notable, but if anyone wants to go ahead and merge it... http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Barack_Obama_sworn_in_as_44th_President_of_the_United_States&oldid=754684 --Sigma 7 (talk) 06:40, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- Good suggestion. At 36 hours on, it is too late to add it now (see WN:ARCHIVE. You were right to redirect it here. It was newsworthy on the day, and could have been copyedited and published before this one. But probably no longer newsworthy.
- We only had one inauguration article, but I am glad it was a good one.
