Image edit

I have e-mailed the zoo and asked for permission to use an actual picture of the actual shark in the report. Hopefully I get a response soon. DragonFire1024 19:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

We have permission from the Henry Doorly Zoo to use this image. I recieved an e-mail from the zoo stating:
Yes, you have permission to use the image from Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo website. Thank you for :checking with us, we appreciate it. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Instead of this, you should forward emails to permissions SPLAT wikimedia.org , and ask the operator to attach an OTRS-ticket to this talk page. Or forward it to another admin who confirms.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 21:53, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Umm what? lol sorry...Never heard this before. DragonFire1024 21:55, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok I e-mailed whatever that is...awaiting response. DragonFire1024 22:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's what you use at Commons for email permissions, but it can be used anywhere on Wikimedia. Like this, in theory anyone can fabricate emails.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 09:49, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cloning? edit

This is parthenogenesis, correct? —BlackTerror 16:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yep. --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 17:25, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ireland edit

The study was collaborative between the US and Northern Ireland. @BRS: Is this worth a {{correction}}, would you say? I've already retargeted the wikilink on "Ireland" to Northern Ireland. --Pi zero (talk) 04:03, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm. Probably a 'soft' correction, using a notice and without putting it into the corrected articles category. It's more misleading than flat-out wrong. (We should maybe start calling 'Ireland' the Republic of Ireland the avoid this issue... With something used to cover the whole islan, maybe?) BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 18:50, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
